Can I use Rings of Brighthearth multiple times?

Asked by capriom85 9 years ago

Say I use Ghoulcaller Gisa to make zombies: Can I copy her activated ability multiple times with Rings of Brighthearth, or just once per activated ability?

Like, I use Gisa to sacrifice Reaper from the Abyss and make 6 zombies; I know I can pay 2 and make 12, but can I pay 4 and make 18 and so on?

No. Triggered abilities trigger only once for each instance of their trigger event.

603.2c An ability triggers only once each time its trigger event occurs. However, it can trigger repeatedly if one event contains multiple occurrences. See also rule 509.4.

No. Rings of Brighthearth's ability is a triggered ability. It will only trigger once for each activates ability, and you thenhave the option to pay the mana and copy it. It does not trigger multiple times, and you can only pay the cost once. Thus, you cannot copy the ability more Tha once.
