can i use counterspells dug out by my Hazoret's Undying Fury?

Asked by Poopernoodles 6 years ago

So my EDH deck is a doomsday deck where the goal is to make my pile (top to bottom:) Hazoret's Undying Fury, Laboratory Maniac, Reforge the Soul, Counterflux, some other card

If someone were to try and counter, or disrupt this part of the combo AFTER i've resolved an undying fury, can i use the Counterflux i get off of the undying fury, can i use that to counter their disruption? I am aware i cannot overload the counterflux as it is an alternate mana cost, but its still an uncounterable counterspell.

No. You must choose to either cast any number of them during the resolution of Hazoret's Fury, or not at all.

No, Hazoret's Undying Fury has you cast the cards it exiles as part of its resolution. If you're going to cast Counterflux off of it, you have to cast it during the resolution, which would be before your opponent has priority.

If you do not cast Counterflux during the resolution of Hazoret's Undying Fury, it will simply remain in exile.
