Can I target the graveyard with Brutal Expulsion?

Like the title, could I per say target a Goblin Dark-Dwellers in my graveyard to return to my hand?

It says "spell" because that's how it tells you you're allowed to target something on the stack. It says "owner" because its possible that the spell or permanent you're targeting is controlled by someone who doesn't own it (Eldrazi Obligator, etc.). A card can only go to its owner's hand, library, or graveyard.

No. You have to have a legal target on the battlefield for Brutal Expulsion to return it to hand. It would specifically say "creature in a graveyard" or something similar to make it able to hit creatures in the bin.
