can i name creature types that don't exist?

say if i play Metallic Mimic , can i name a creature type that isn't printed on a card? (example: peanutbutter cupcacke). and do cards with changeling have this creature type?

You can only name existing creature types when the card says choose a creature type.

205.3e If an effect instructs a player to choose a subtype, that player must choose one, and only one, existing subtype, and the subtype must be for the appropriate card type. For example, the player can’t choose a land type if an instruction requires choosing a creature type. Example: When choosing a creature type, “Merfolk” or “Wizard” is acceptable, but “Merfolk Wizard” is not. Words like “artifact,” “opponent,” “Swamp,” or “truck” can’t be chosen because they aren’t creature types.

Changeling also don't have those creature types that don't exist.

So they aren't teenagers, but they are mutant ninja turtles.

In the past, at least, Wizards has done a " Mistform Ultimus Watch" to keep tabs on which creature types it is (and therefore which creature types changelings have). The last one was for Theros block, which added three new creature types at the time. I'm not sure if they continue to do this.
