Can I have precisions on Protection from X ?

From what I know, ( Lets pretend I have a creature that has protection from red and white ) Protection offers three things : The creature cant be targeted by spells or abilities of red and white source, like Path to Exile or the ability from Grim Lavamancer . Damage from white or red source that would be dealt to the creature is prevented. And finally, the creature cant be blocked by a red or white creature. Here's my question : My opponent casts Wrath of God . It doesnt target anything, it's a white spell and it doesnt do any dmg to the creature, it destroys it. If my creature has prot. from white, its still gets destroyed ?

Protection from X does four things: D.E.B.T.
D - Damage from X sources is prevented
E - Enchantments and Equipment that are X can't be attached
B - Creatures that are X can't Block
T - Spells and abilities that are X can't Target
Wrath of God doesn't do any of the 4 things protection defends against, so a creature with Protection from White isn't safe from it.

It still gets destroyed. As you said, it doesn't do anything protection would stop.
Also, protection has one other effect. A protected object can't be enchanted or equipped by permanents of the stated quality.
