Can Drumhunter's card draw ability allow me to end up with 8 cards?

I have a Drumhunter and a 5-banger on the board and 7 cards in hand. His ability triggers and I draw a card at end of turn. Do I then need to discard one card, or am I past that point already?

Unless your hand size has been altered, you will need to discard down to seven cards

1. Ending Phase512.1. The ending phase consists of two steps: end and cleanup.
2. End Step513.1. First, all abilities that trigger at the beginning of the end step or at the beginning of the next end step go on the stack. (See rule 603, Handling Triggered Abilities.)
3. Cleanup Step514.1. First, if the active players hand contains more cards than his or her maximum hand size (normally seven), he or she discards enough cards to reduce his or her hand size to that number. This turn-based action doesnt use the stack.
