Can Darien keep me alive?

What happenes if I have Darien, King of Kjeldor and Soul Warden on the field at the same time and my opponent would deal enough damage for me to hit 0.
From my understanding what would happen is I take the damage, get the solders and gain that life back. But I want to confirm it.
While this isn't technically answering the question, let me add that this would work nicely with Worship on the battlefield - say you're at 4 life, get dealt 10 damage (which reduce your life total to 1), get 10 tokens and finally gain 10 life, putting you to 11.

Whenever an ability triggers (in this case, both Dariens and Soul Wardens) and players gain priority, the game checks for state-based actions. At this point, it will see you at 0 life, and you will lose the game before any tokens are put on the battlefield or you could gain life for them.
