Can channeling Arashi destroy Iona?

Just a quick rules question from someone who should know better...
If my mono green EDH has been locked down by Iona, Shield of Emeria , can I destroy her by channeling Arashi, the Sky Asunder ?

You can use channel to kill Iona, Shield of Emeria . Arashi, the Sky Asunder has an activated ability which you can still activate. Activated abilities are detonated by cost : effect. Channel is an activated ability that can only be activated from the hand.

Iona only blocks you from casting spells of the chosen color, and channeling is an activated ability of Arashi.
So, yeah. I would believe you could Channel. :)
