Can an Earthquake hit a planeswalker?

If I cast an Earthquake, can I choose to have the damage that would go to my opponent go to a planeswalker he controls instead?

No. It used to be able to. But that rule changed.

Okay, thanks pskinn01 . Any idea where I can find the wording of the new ruling? I'm curious how it may apply in other situations.
