Beast Within and Kitchen Finks

If an opponent plays Path to Exile targeting a Kitchen Finks to exile it, and I respond with playing Beast Within on Kitchen Finks causing it to return to the battlefield with a -1 counter, does Path to Exile fizzle due to no valid target?

Yes. The returned Kitchen Finks is a new object with no connection to / remembrance of the object it was before.

400.7. An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence [...]
