Aminatous Augury ruling

Aminatou's Augury allows you to play one of any type of spell for free, but what happens in the event of a card with x mana like Banefire if i choose banefire as one of the cost-free summons can i just set banefire to an infinite value?

i made an error in my question, i meant one of each type of spell not just one any spell

If you cast a spell without paying its mana cost, or by paying an alternate cost that does not define x, then x is chosen to be 0.
