about Howl of the Horde

I have a few questions about Howl of the Horde (seemed silly to make multiple topics about 1 card)

first one is, if your next instant/sorcery is countered what happens then? Do the copy's still work, is the effect of Howl of the Horde lost or does it apply to the instant/sorcery you cast after that?

If the instant/sorcery you play after Howl of the Horde is a double card like Turn / Burn Do you have to pick one or are both effects copied?

If you Cast a card like Temur Charm after Howl of the Horde does it copy te effect that you choose or can you choose a different effect for the copy?

  1. Howl creates a copy when the spell is cast, not when it resolves,so countering the original spell will do nothing to the copy. So you cast your spell, Howl creates a copy of it on the stack and that copy will resolve before the original spell resolves.

  2. If you cast Turn / Burn fused,as suggested by the way you worded your question, then you will get a fused Turn / Burn again. If you only cast one side, then you will only get that one side because copy's of spells copy all choices made for it.

  3. Again, whenever you copy a spell it copies choices made for that spell, like which mode you picked so you cannot chose a different mode.

Now, if you chose the target creature get's +1/+1 and fights mode, then you will be able to choose new targets for that copy since Howl say's you may choose new targets.

  1. I'll be honest: I'm not entirely sure what happens here. If someone else knows for sure, that would be great. Here's my opinion: The delayed trigger from Howl of the Horde will go on the stack. If an opponent counters the spell you're trying to copy, then the trigger will still resolve and you'll get a copy.

  2. If you casted both halves, both halves are copied. If you casted one half, only that half is copied.

  3. 9/20/2014: If the spell being copied is modal (that is, it says Choose one or the like), each copy will have the same mode. You cant choose a different one.
