Card Type as Alternate Value

TappedOut forum

With the introduction of Modal DFCs, I would love to see the ability to override a card's type for the purpose of display in a deck list. Given many players will likely cut lands for the new MDFCs, being able to specify that you're including the card in a land slot in your deck list would be valuable.

I use custom categories extensively already, which is the exact reason that workaround would not be sufficient for me.

Given TappedOut already allows us to override CMC, mana cost, colour, and rarity with Alternate Values, I figure my request is a logical extension if yeaGO is interested in implementing it.

Why not just enter the backside?

Unlike regular DFCs that don't let you play the backside ... that doesn't apply to these, so as a user it is perfectly fine to just, use the backside as the front side normally if that is the intended purpose of the card.

I will say that the nicknames for the MDFCS apply to the front side only.

Femme_Fatale I actually had no idea you could add the backside of cards to decklists directly. That's a great solution for this particular problem. Thank you.

It has one flaw, though, and I hope it's one that can be fixed. When I add the backside of a MDFC to a list, it doesn't have the superscript "Flip" that you can hover over to see the opposite face of the card. If that were present, this would be absolutely perfect.

Gulaghar: They should be all done.

I will say that I normally don't like it when people try and put the backsides in ... as they aren't actually cards you can play on their own. But MDFCs are going to be an exception, since you can do just that. So I won't be putting the backside as a synonym for the front side.

Femme_Fatale I think there was a problem with the change. The front faces of the cards don't have the Flip super text now. Also Khalni Territory for instance doesn't have it on the back, but does have it on the front. So it seems like they all still have the Flip on just one side.

Gulaghar: Welp. Looks like this is a feature to work on.
