Now that all of the bosses have been revealed, which are your favorite? I'm torn between Falco and Raffine. I like all the card advantage they give and the additional benefits. Of the two though, I'm more likely to build Raffine. Which of the mob bosses are you most excited for?

I'm stuck between Ziatora and Xander myself. But leaning towards Xander. I really just like that he has an impact on the game pretty much no matter what happens once he enters. And Ziatora, like me, likes to sit back and watch opponents go up in flames lol.

That's kinda funny because Xander is my least favorite of the bunch. I mean, yeah, he's a Fleet Swallower with additional ETB and dies effects, but he's SO expensive for a commander. Maybe in the 99, but I'm not paying NINE mana just for a second cast, especially since you kinda WANT him to die at some point during the game. If he was like, at least 2 mana cheaper he'd be in third place. But as it stands, He's the bottom of the barrel for me.

But hey, that's just my opinion. No one is right or wrong, y'know? I'm just stingy with my mana.

Now Ziatora, however, is pretty dang good. I'm sure he'd do amazing in commander, if not for Korvold. Frickin' Korvold.

I like Falco's open-endedness; it doesn't pigeonhole the deck into being one specific strategy. I've also never gotten around to putting together an EDH reanimator deck, and Raffine might be my new favorite way to enable that.

Actually, Falco might be good support for Atraxa, Praetors' Voice.

Xander + a way to spam copies (Blade of Selves?) could be "fun."

Jetmir is the only one that really interests me. I love the flavor behind his abilities. The bigger the party (your total number of creatures), the more raucous they get!

Probably Ziatora, though I wished for more creativity for my beloved .. There are some ways you can go still, I would consider high payoffs for big-dick (power) creatures. Things like draw = power, ramp = power, Greven, Predator Captain & go with all the self-growing things in the 99 like Forgotten Ancient, Managorger Hydra or Malignus type things. Then, you have a solid 99 that can function on its' own but ziatora can be a finisher stapled on your commander without having to go combo finisher.

I love Xander's aesthetic, and I'm pretty sure stabbity art nerds are exactly my people.

That said, I think Raffine is the coolest overall design (my roommate is super excited for that one as a potential leader for their rogue deck that was struggling with card advantage), and Falco is the most interesting to me and the one I'd be most likely to build.

Ziatora and Jetmir have awesome names, but they don't offer anything new and exciting for their colors, IMO.

All and all, I probably won't be building any of them. I may be putting my old pal Kresh the Bloodbraided back together, though! I miss that good old beefcake!

I, as a lover of +1 counters, do dig Falco Spara, despite the absolute cheese present in the name. Still, the loyal Riveteer in me says Big Mama Demon Dragon is gonna pull me through.
