My friend had a cool mono-red burn deck that I really liked it, but it is not pioneer legal. I decided to change it into a Rakdos deck but still keep the burn idea with it. This deck is not tested at all. It's still just an idea.

Spells (36)

4 Rakdos's Return

4 Carnival // Carnage

4 Alms of the Vein

4 Skewer the Critics

4 Sovereign's Bite

4 Torment of Hailfire

4 Risk Factor

4 Shock

4 Inescapable Blaze

Lands (24)

8 Swamp

12 Mountain

4 Dragonskull Summit

This should be easier.

Now, regarding that, you have 8 X spells and 6 cost spell in a burn deck, which is way too many - this is making you play more lands than necessary for no reason.

General rule of thumb - if it costs more than 3 mana remove it from the deck. You do not need that. So remove those 12 cards, as well alms of the vein (you have no way to take advantage of madness), and Carnival / Carnage (subpar damage output), and 4 lands. That is 24 cards to take out.

I almost went 2x Rakdos's Return and 2x Theatre of Horrors but I wasn't sure how good Theater of Horrors was in a burn deck.

I now remember that Skullcrack should be actually Bonecrusher Giant - one less damage, but a 4/3 with a good ability is better.

Where is the Sideboard?

Sideboard could contain some of these (keeping it budget):

Agonizing Remorse

Cut

Dark Betrayal

Fated Conflagration or Lava Axe

Fight with Fire

Hour of Devastation

Magma Spray (Magma Jet is even better)

I didn't even see Skullcrack. That's a good card. As for the sideboard, I was gonna test this deck out a good handful of times to see what it needs. But I will look at those cards again when I put it together.

I may use bonecrusher giant as a good sideboard card.

Thy should consider the mystical tome known by the name of Searing Blood for thine side board. It is excellent for smiting fools and dealing damage upon thine foes.
