Is Soul Sisters good enough of a deck?

Soul Sisters, despite being a tier 2 deck, can do very well in tournaments. However, there are less and less Soul Sisters decks in the wild. Does this mean that Soul Sisters is dying?

Also, Soul Sisters is getting more and more expensive! The Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista is being played in Soul Sisters (which isn't very Soul Sistery) plus Ajani, Strength of the Pride making decks more and more expensive. Not only this, but Serra Ascendant is spiking right now, bringing the pride of decks way too high.

Can Soul Sisters be saved, or is it too late?

Soul sisters only thrives when burn decks thrive. Modern is very rock paper scissors and as long as midrange decks with Uro in them exist soul sister just wont keep pace it's very much a meta call deck and with the abundance of cheap efficient threats and removal other colors have been getting it's hard to imagine a resurgence.

Also, a side note is that modern isn't a budget friendly format if you're looking to be competive and make it to the top tables at a GP or Open. Hell, even an IQ requires you to drop some cash. Oops app spells is the hot new thing right now and its roughly $340. The cheapest deck is still momo red aggro at $220 - granted the current version on goldfish doesn't run any fetches and only won a league which typically isn't a good indicator of the best configuration of the deck. Though if your lgs meta is all burn decks soul sisters will slap :) any bigger events and well Uro going to find out where the deck actually stands.

Wanted to check in on this and see where people think soul sisters is at now? With the format shaping up better for burn and Death's shadow/aggro decks is it a good time to look at Martyr of Sands et al again? Basing my view of the format off this (https://strategy.channelfireball.com/all-strategy/home/modern-power-rankings-5-13-21/) since I've not gotten to play in forever but looking forward to getting back into it soon!
