Here is my lifegain deck Game of Life Counters. I'm happy with it for the most part just need to do better with removal.

All suggestions and comments are welcome.

Path to Exile = The best spot removal spell.

Thoughtseize = Hand disruption can be just as equally powerful and devastating as it removes a threat before it even gets played.

Those cards are expensive but I can recommend budget cards that out-perform the ones you're using.

Take Vengeance can be replaced with Seal Away since it does the same thing but can be cast at instant speed. If you want to remove creatures that aren't tapped then Temporal Isolation removes the creatures ability to attack and block in essence. If you want the creature gone for good then Declaration in Stone will do the trick.

I'd say there are a couple other black spells that are better than Murder. Go for the Throat and Cast Down hit quite a lot of creatures. If you ever get better color fixing Devour in Shadow/Orzhov Charm hits everything so long as you're gaining enough life to counteract the drawback, though Dismember would probably be type of removal spell your deck could easily abuse. Sinister Concoction also makes for good removal if you don't mind the drawback.

Journey to Nowhere is also a good option.

Fatal Push is pretty good too. And sometimes the meta just makes Blessed Alliance into the best sideboard card in the game. But if you have plenty of life to spend anyway then Dismember is pretty good removal.

Thanks everyone. I'm really liking the idea of Dismember with all the life I could use.

I'm hesitant about Path to Exile because I hate to give them another land but for a 1drop that is good.

Mostly, the land you give your opponent in return for their creature with Path to Exile is a real bad trade for them (I'll just make your Primeval Titan disappear - but with this nice, new, shiny Forest, you'll barely feel the loss, right?). The only real exception is against the very fastest aggro decks in the first or second turn of the game.

I couldn't get Dismember yet so I put Grasp of Darkness hoping that will help for now.

@herrickk, If you ever feel Grasp of Darkness costing two black mana is too tight for your mana base I would recommend Orzhov Charm for it's second ability or Sinister Concoction since you can split the mana payments on different turns.

Your mana base would probably be a lot more flexible if you used full playsets of Isolated Chapel and/or Fetid Heath.
