Ideas for a B / G Infect

Modern Deck Help forum

I had a great idea when looking at Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugative INFECT! I want to run all the 1 power or less infect creatures in Blue and Green....maybe black?, in a deck and see if it works well.

Any ideas of how it should go? I pulled some ideas off of other G, U, B infect decks, but they are not quite what I want since I might skip all the white and black phyrexian spells completely.

So far I got Pendelhaven Groundswell Glistener Elf Blighted Agent Might of Old Krosa Mutagenic Growth and if I do black...maybe a Whispering Specter ?

Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive I forgot to put the fugitive in the brackets.

Inkmoth Nexus if you aren't on a budget.

One of Infect's main advantages is that its creatures are already really hard to block. Inkmoth Nexus has flying, Blighted Agent is already unblockable, Phyrexian Crusader has relevant protections, and Plague Stinger has flying. Basically your creatures except Glistener Elf are probably not getting blocked, so I'm not sure if Umezawa actually does that much for you.

So. Maybe Instead of doing infect with Tetsuko. I should do stuff more like, Master of Cruelties ?

In my opinion Master of Cruelties wouldn't fit in G/B infect. With infect, you don't attack the life points of your opponents and there aren't any red creatures with infect, so you would take a splash in red for abilities you actually don't need.

G/B infect uses creatures with high toughness to block opponent attackers until you can attack with a stronger late-game creature or creatures with enough +1/+1-Counters on them. I don't play modern, but you could take a look at my Casual Infect-Deck for some inspiration: BG Infect Counters

Yeah, i found out, too. Red has three creatures with infect, but in my opinion there's not enough variety to play infect in red. And back to thetopic, B/G Infect doesn't make any sense with a potencially good U/R combo.

In my opinion you don't need black in Infect and anything with a cmc over 2 is too slow for the deck. The deck is pretty linear and its late game isn't great, you're trying to win as quickly as possible. Once your opponent starts being able to remove and counter stuff or disrupt you in any way you've already lost.
