castle garenbrig ability and mutate

so Castle Garenbrig has that thing where you get 6 mana for creatures and creature abilities, but what I want to know is does that work with mutate or not. I would assume that it would only be for abilities of creatures on the battlefield but idk.
Awesome so would it also work with like the other alternate cost cards from other sets?

Tangential question: What about Bestow? That's an alternate cost, but the creature ETB as an aura?

I don't believe it will work with Bestow. The wording for Bestow says "If you cast this card for its bestow cost, it's an Aura spell with enchant creature." - which means it's an Aura spell, and not a Creature spell - which means you can't use Castle's mana to cast it (as Castle can only be used on creature spells).

Mutate is still casting a creature, just for an alternate cost. So you can use the castle with it - but note that it works with the “cast creature spells” portion, not because of the “abilities of creatures” part.
