Alas, while I normally quite enjoy whatever Magic stories I read I have finally found one I didn't like. The first part where they are preparing to leave felt like it moved way too slowly. Then in the middle when the action began there was an abrupt change of verb tense which I don't like.
Zareth's decision at the end did feel in character and in colour for him so I liked that.
