I feel that a lot of the flavor text in Ixalan is excellent and I want to list some of my favorites. 3 I really like are the text on Spike-Tailed Ceratops , Sword-Point Diplomacy, and Dinosaur Stampede.

I definitely agree with Sword-Point Diplomacy. Maybe the funniest flavor text in the set. I'm partial to Deadeye Plunderers' flavor text.

I really enjoy the flavor text of Axis of Mortality

Bishop of Rebirth's flavor text is really unsettling. I like it.

The grammar on Duskborne Skymarcher's bothers me. Why isn't it "The hour of dusk HAS come" or something? None of the other vampires talk like that, do they???

my guess is that has is past tense and the flavor text is referencing an event that is occurring in the present, and not has occurred in the past.

I'm in complete agreement with Epochalyptik; Carnage Tyrant's flavor text is absolutely amazing

shinobigarth that was my immediate thought, but I'm pretty sure all the other vampires (Glorifier of Dusk's flavor text, for example) use current english. We'll see when we get a closer look at them in the magic story articles.

Also, Fleet Swallower has some sweet flavor text. Emergent Growth's is really cool, too.

Fiery Cannonade and Charging Monstrosaur are pretty funny.

Perilous Voyage is kind of a sad story building piece. SImple yet oddly touching

Unknown Shores is a beautiful piece of flavor text.

Drowned Catacomb and Sword-Point Diplomacy - get your priorites right, pirates!

ERoss8 Revel in Riches doesn't have flavor text.... maybe you were thinking of something else? Or are you just trolling us?

When are you actually gonna trigger that second line of text?

ERoss8: Actually, it's pretty easy. Even in standard, in a deck with a few of the treasure pirates, Spell Swindle, that and removal, it could be the wincon in a (somewhat janky) control deck.

if you utilize cards like Panharmonicon, Contract Killing, Mechanized Production, and creatures like Prosperous Pirates(who also has great flavor text), and flicker power like Illusionist's Stratagem, and Siren's Ruse. And the aforementioned Spell Swindle win by treasure isn't actually that hard of an idea to see working. You can even wipe the board with a Bontu's Last Reckoning and flood your side with 1 treasure for every enemy casualty that stacks with multiple Revel in Riches. Basically don't underestimate Dimir treasure.

My favourite flavour text is Dinosaur Stampede.

I enjoy a bunch of the Dinosaur flavor text.

I'm certainly with those who have said Carnage Tyrant ... casting it feels great, but casting it and being able to say, "Deploy the giant, implacable death lizard" while doing so? Priceless!

But Raptor Companion, Charging Monstrosaur, Spike-Tailed Ceratops, and Bonded Horncrest are fun as well.

Spike-Tailed Ceratops is undeniably the best flavour text of all time.
