with the new cards one stood out to me, rick grimes.

he is 4 mana, that essentially is the best human lord ever printed. (in my opinion)

etb choose 2 of the 3, vigilance, first strike and lifelink.

humans you control get this.

if you have 4 humans, your humans all get 2+/2+

and he has 3/4 stats.

i can legit see this in legacy.

turn one, mother of runes, turn 2 thalia turn 3 recruiter of guard turn 4 rick grimes for lethal.

what does this mean?

i mean maro claims that they can reprint popular cards... but they have a poor track record of doing that esp with fetch lands as the most notorious example.

heck, people said glenn might be playable and he fits the turn 3 slot too, can be pitched to FOW, can be tutored by recruiter of the guard (or not, but still, you know what i mean.) and with rick or any pumping, can draw insane levels of cards.

Oh yeah, against any fair matchup it's insane, easily slots into variants of d&t as well as maybe some other lists, perhaps a variant of Esper Vial, though that is sus.

The thing is, it's a 5/6 with 2 useful abilities if you have it, because it includes itself, all for 4 mana. You have a way to abuse that? Easy, you just swing with a field that consisted of 4 power across 3 human dudes, drop rick to add 11 power to it doe 4 mana, swinging in each turn for 15 lifelink, easily outpacing any TNN xD, and with vigilance or first strike added onto the whole field. It's such a huge threat it rivals the power output of Cloudpost decks dropping Eldrazi on a good field or a Craterhoof in Elves. That's insane for such an easy card with such an easy restriction.

On a side note, do you have a link to the spoiled card?
