Shardless Bug tech for Miracles

Legacy forum

Hey all,

I have finally finished shardless bug in legacy and my local meta is absolutely packed with miracles. What does BUG have to deal with it?

It seems like Pithing Needle is decent for top.

Thanks for your feedback!

Abrupt Decay is basically what you're going to lean on both pre and post board.

You use Abrupt Decay Pithing Needle Null Rod and it helps to bring in Sylvan Library

Sylvan Library is my tech, but Needle is great as well.

Needles and Decays, and Sylvan Library to help dig for them faster.

Hey everyone, thanks for the responses. I tested the matchup a lot last night, and I couldn't believe how malleable shardless's game plan is. I played around counter-top plenty and dealt with several entreat and terminus. Post board it was trickier but doable.

I really struggled with elves, only wining about 40%. I always had early answers, and put him on weak draws with jace's +2 quite a few times. But he always ended up ripping a Natural Order in the end haha.

Something important about JTMS that a lot of people don't realize but is essential to the +2 game: Your opponent doesn't need to draw poorly. They just need to not draw the nut. If there's only one thing that's going to kill you, let them have their fairly powerful cards. Don't bottom a 7 because you have to spend a card to answer it, when a 10 will end you on the spot. Just let them have it if it's not going to kill you.

That being said, if you want to improve your elves matchup, Golgari Charm, Night of Soul's Betrayal, and Toxic Deluge are all good cards to consider.
