Will WotC Ever Print Another Creature that Unconditionally Searches for Another Creature?

MtG has been around for nearly 30 years, and yet, WotC has printed only a single creature that, upon entering the battlefield, allows its controller to unconditionally search their library for another creature, Brutalizer Exarch, which is a great card, but it is the only one of its kind. Also, the card that it finds is put atop its controller's library, not into their hand or onto the battlefield, so I feel that there is unexplored design space in that regard.

It is true that Rune-Scarred Demon can find any card and put it into its controller's hand, but I would like to have a green creature that specifically finds creatures and puts them into their owner's hands, as such a creature would be perfect for a Chulane, Teller of Tales or Ghired, Conclave Exile deck.

What does everyone else say about this? Will WotC ever print a creature that unconditionally searches for another creature and then put it either into its controller's hand or onto the battlefield?

Green has more than enough toys to play with. I wouldn't be shocked if they printed a card like this, but it's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist, especially with how easy other colors are to splash, imo.

Are you wanting to see something like Squadron Hawk but in green?

A green version of Squadron Hawk already exists in Growth-Chamber Guardian.

There is also an existing green creature fetch that puts said creature straight into play, in Fiend Artisan.

And there are a ton of green planeswalkers that can go digging for creatures, the most recent being Ellywick Tumblestrum, but also from memory Vivien Reid (i'm not going to search these all out here, but I'm sure there's more).

In spell form there's also Tooth and Nail, which is notorious for throwing both Xenagos, God of Revels and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn into play and winning on the spot.

So, given enough time Wotc will probably print something which aligns more closely with what you're wanting... but it feels like there is already plenty-enough tools to get the effects you're after, and plenty enough cards that already do the thing you're wanting.

I think you’re talking about just mono green creatures that fetch creatures unconditionally. I gotta agree it’s a solution in search of a problem.

I think Woodland Bellower is a pretty great example (even w/ it’s conditions/limitations), since you’re playing green…. Should be especially useful in mono-green decks.

plakjekaas, I completely forgot about that card, and it is an awesome, but I am hoping for a creature is easy to abuse with "flicker" effects.

DemonDragonJ It looks like you have very, very specific requirements for what you’re after. From all the numerous suggestions above two things are evident:

  1. Wotc will probably print the effect you’re after at somestage, because they’re already creating effects in this area.

  2. You can probably already do what you need to with existing cards, if you’re willing to be more open/flexible for how that effect takes place.

To change the subject, very slightly, what options currently exist for creature-based mana acceleration (i.e., Wood Elves and Farhaven Elf)? I am planning to make an EDH with Ghired, Conclave Exile as the general, so any creatures that can find lands or otherwise give their controller additional sources of mana would be great for such a deck.
