Will WotC Ever Print a Creature Version of Exquisite Blood?

In the Battle for Zendikar block, WotC printed Defiant Bloodlord , which was a creature version of Sanguine Bond , which was much easier to use for combos, since it can be given lifelink.

Naturally, I am wondering if WotC shall eventually print a creature version of Exquisite Blood , (also likely to be a vampire), because it would be so easy to make its ability trigger when it can attack opponents.

What does everyone else say about this? Will WotC eventually print a creature version of Exquisite Blood ?

Yes, Defiant Bloodlord was the first occurrence of a creature substitute for Sanguine Bond .

What's that Vizkopa Guildmage ? Little Timmy fell in the well?

Well, it looks like I need to be going.

What does giving Defiant Bloodlord lifelink have to do with easing the combo? Loss of life isn't damage.

kanokarob, that is true, but giving the bloodlord lifelink will allow its own ability to trigger, essentially doubling its output for minimal additional investment.

But no, it won't allow its own ability to trigger, because it isnt dealing damage.

If it deals combat damage to a thing, you'll gain life and the opponent will lose that much... And then it stops there. Because the ability is a loss of life, not damage. Doesn't proc lifelink.

kanokarob: It's not infinite, but it increases the damage you do to your opponents.

No, it really doesn't. It's just another source of damage that itself isnt any more or less efficient than any other attacking creature with lifelink.

TypicalTimmy, forgive me for reviving an old thread, but I believe that, if a certain card makes a certain combo too easy to execute, that is the players' problem, not WotC's. I do not wish to sound callous, but, if WotC does not care enough to print certain cards in sufficient quantities to keep their prices low (with Vedalken Orrery , Akroma's Memorial , Bitterblossom , and the fetchlands being some of the worst offenders in that regard), then I doubt that they care enough to prevent certain combos from being too easy.

Alternatively, they could print such a card only in a Commander or Conspiracy set to prevent it from being legal in modern format.
