What new thing does white do in Throne of Eldraine that it didn't do before?

TypicalTimmy Righteousness has been reprinted like 15 times, and was in Alpha.

Okay, technically 11 printings, but with some white, some black, some foreign specific, etc. it adds up.

So I actually saw an ask on blogatog about this, but essentially to make white better in commander, they're bringing back shared draws. So basically having you and all other players draw cards to get card advantage.

To add to what dbpunk said, this "new ability" is found on the card Happily Ever After , which was apparently an experiment. More effects like this will likely be seen in future sets, though I can't recall where I read that specifically (likely an article on the mothership).

I think the shared draw thing may have been mentioned in passing on Game Knights? Anyway, if HEA is the sort of way it's going to be implemented I think it is weak af sadly, and doesn't do near enough to help out.

Shared draw is so bad in edh because other colors have some good self draw already and you are just speeding them up that much more. In a w/b deck I could maybe see it being okay because you can force discard, but even then it seems iffy due to the multiplayer nature and you would be better off just using black draw. If they come up with a cheap creature that has a low cost ability that doesn't require tapping for each player to draw, I could see it as fine because it can be a win con. Until then, this one shot each player draws nonsense will not be good enough imo.

As far as the op's question goes... nothing is really new. Just the shared draw being used again.
