Personalized User Spellbooks

General forum

Posted on Sept. 3, 2019, 9:29 p.m. by TypicalTimmy

I pulled this idea off of BMHKain's profile. Hope that's okay mate! :D

The premise is simple: We design our own User Spellbooks!

EDIT: Cleaning up a bit :)

For those who need a little refreshing, a "Spellbook" is something WOTC is attempting to do for certain Planeswalkers. Jace and Gideon currently each have one. These are collections of specific cards that key toward the attributes of that Planeswalker within their color(s).

Each Spellbook contains 8 cards - of which 7x instants / sorceries / artifacts / enchantments. We have yet to see if creatures are included.

If you'd like to create a Planeswalker card that is a reflection of yourself, your motivations, interests, hobbies, whatever please feel free to do so. However, that is really more so something for the Custom Cards Forum. Otherwise, please feel free to pick a Planeswalker that speaks to you and use them to run your Spellbook! We understand not all color combinations have Planeswalkers associated to them, and some might not fit your vibe. If you can find a Legendary Creature, please feel free to use that too :)

Tips on what spells to select:

  • How you enjoy playing MTG
  • How you personally feel IRL
  • Cards that speak to you on a personal level
  • Cards that you just think are super awesome / weird / unique
  • Cards that you enjoy to build around

As for the colors, I would say try to think of what color combination fits you best. Do you love to control the board and as such find Azorius or Jeskai fits your personality? Are you a relatively calm person, but you love to have titanic and explosive plays in Selesnya? Do you have an unsettling rage in your heart and want to watch the world burn under Rakdos' ire? Perhaps you just love big fluffy animals and want to go mono-green!

This is YOUR Spellbook! There is no right or wrong answer; Only your personal feelings and attachments to the game. With that said, have fun! :)

TypicalTimmy's Spellbook:

I love big, stupid spells. High-cost trap cards that most people wouldn't be caught dead with. I love playing fringe decks and making things work. I find, in my core, Gruul is the most fun. I get the speed of red, but the titanic plays of green. :)

  • 1.) See the Unwritten - One of my most beloved cards in the whole game. Seriously, you're telling me for I get to cheat out two gigantic creatures?? WHAT YES

  • 2.) Predator's Rapport - Ever see a player gain over 2,000,000 life in a single game of Magic? If not, it's because you haven't played me. I use to run a seriously overpowered ramp deck where I was able to double the number of counters on Heroes' Bane 18x. Yes. Eighteen times. That's a Power / Toughness of 1,048,576 / 1,048,576. Cast this spell and that's 2,097,152 life.

  • 3.) Gruul Charm - I feel like this spell is dramatically underrated. Let's be honest here; Most games don't see a lot of flyers. So an Instant that prevents basically the entire boardstate from being able to block is outrageously powerful. In EDH, this is a great card that ensures victory. It is absolutely a staple in my aggro arsenal and catches many players off guard.

  • 4.) Rolling Thunder - I love massive plays. This also means I love having insane amounts of mana. And what better use to put that mana to than to burn the entire battlefield to the ground! The thing I love about Rolling Thunder is I can specifically designate how much damage I need to go where, and just how many "wheres" are entirely up to me. It allows me to finetune my resources, take down the biggest threats, and dismantle key pieces of combos or synergy. It's a really good sweeper that specifically targets what you need it to target. Yes there are red spells that blow up everything, but sometimes you don't need to do that. A lot of red spells also damage your own creatures, which is never okay. Rolling Thunder allows me complete control, which is what I want when I am going into a blind frenzy, lol.

  • 5.) Ruination - Because I don't need friends. Best way to lock players out of the game is to set them back to square one. Not only do I get to save hundreds of dollars by going all basics, I also get to utterly and entirely destroy every single opponent I am up against. How this card is not seen more often is beyond me. I guess people enjoy having friends, huh? Lol

  • 6.) Howl of the Horde - Honestly, the only thing better than casting big, stupid spells is being able to cast a second one for free. And you know what's better than that?! CASTING A THIRD ONE FOR FREE BECAUSE I ATTACKED YOU! Now, on it's face this may not seem all that impressive... but when you HOTH a See the Unwritten and cheat out 6x creatures, or when you HOTH Predator's Rapport and gain so much life it's basically an alternate wincon, it's just a great feeling. Additionally, I can shave 3 mana off of my Rolling Thunder and just triple the damage output in general. The utility behind this card is amazing and I love it.

  • 7.) Savage Beating - Hey man, I heard you like to attack. So we put some more attack in your attack so you can attack while you attack. Do you love to deal tremendous damage? DO YOU LOVE BURNING MANA?! Then boy howdy do I have a spell for you! This is an Aggro's wet dream! All of those attack triggers suddenly kick into overdrive. All of my Dragons suddenly are dealing 16 damage each! Oh, and don't even get me started on the crap Savage Ventmaw can pull off with this! What, you thought I didn't have a way to pay for all my jank ;) Silly you :p

  • 8.) Xenagos, the Reveler - Obviously my choice to run my Spellbook, if I had to choose one. Can you tell? :)

I won’t go into as much detail here, but here goes:

1) Traumatize - I love this card so much. It was the card I built around when I built my first real MTG deck. There’s nothing like milling half your opponents deck on turn five (rounded up of course!).

2) Fraying Sanity - This card comes at a close second because of course milling half someone’s deck is fun, but what if you could mill the whole thing in one turn?

3) Startled Awake  Flip - I used this in conjunction with Startled Awake (see above) and I once milled 52 cards in one turn. Talk about 52 pickup, heh.

4) Hero's Downfall - Because who doesn’t love instant speed planeswalker and creature removal for three mana?

5) Tome Scour - Loved turn one mill five, straight up ruins combo decks.

6) Languish - Some relatively cheap board wiping? Great removal vs. an established token deck boardstate? Hell. Yes.

7) Psychic Corrosion - I love drawing cards. I love drawing cards and having my opponent punished in addition to it.

My planeswalker I’d have run this deck? Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver or Jace, Memory Adept . It’s hard to choose just one in this instance since I used both for such a long time.

I look forward to seeing other’s choices!

GhostChieftain's Spellbook

I am Abzan at heart. I love board control and utilizing utility creatures over and over again.

1) Eldritch Evolution

Sac a dork to get exactly what you need and then get the dork back afterward.

2) Genesis Wave

Use your cheap mana producers to make a swarm enter the battlefield

3) Life // Death

Beat down with your lands for that last bit of damage or reanimate a demon

4) Eladamri's Call

Your entire deck is your toolbox... at instant speed

5) Swords to Plowshares

Best creature removal in edh

6) Entomb

Put something dummy thicc in the yard to pull back from beyond the grave

7) Silence

Eat your heart out mono blue control

8) Damnation

Honestly, this just really needs reprinted.

I’ve always been enamored with just how cleanly andcompliment each other, so here goes.

1. Cryptic Command - This card is a veritable Swiss Army knife for a control player. I think there’s maybe two matchups I don’t like it in in Modern, and it just feels so incredible to resolve.

2. Sphinx's Revelation - while admittedly this card isn’t as playable as it once was, I still love it because of how clean it is as a design. Simplicity is often a strength, as players during RTR Standard can attest.

3. Timely Reinforcements - Although it’s the dream of every control player to be able hold up removal/counters every turn and never have to tap out again, sometimes you can’t find the board wipe you need. This card might be the single best flavor win in Magic. Any time you resolve Timely Reinforcements , it feels like the most pivotal play of the game and immediately throws off your opponent’s plan.

4. Think Twice - I have an unhealthy obsession with drawing cards. It might be my single favorite thing to do in Magic, besides possibly winning. Think Twice is a Wafo-Tapa innovation that’s great for the Draw-Go player, and it provides convenient card advantage whenever you need it.

5. Path to Exile - Okay, I know the Gideon signature spellbook has a printing of Modern’s best removal spell, but that one has gross art. Rebecca Guay is an amazing artist, and I love the subtle storytelling on her PtE variant.

6. Terminus - Board wipes are like nukes. They’re super powerful and effective, but very costly to manufacture. Sometimes you stumble on land as a control player and you just die with a Wrath of God rotting in your hand. Terminus is the best use of the Miracle mechanic I’ve seen because it feels miraculous to peel one off the top against Jund and just get ‘em.

7. Baneslayer Angel - Okay, this card isn’t an instant or sorcery, but hear me out. Baneslayer Angel is my favorite card in all of Magic. I am a huge fan of Angels as a creature type in Magic, and Baneslayer Angel personifies everything that I love about them. Her art is absolutely stunning, and might be my favorite art not by Rebecca Guay, Terese Nielsen, or Seb McKinnon. She also hugely impacts the board, and often leads to a quick game over. She satisfies both the Timmy in me, as I started Magic, as well as the Spike in me, as she’s just dazzlingly efficient for what she costs. Baneslayer Angel , to me, is the most elegant Magic card ever made.

8. Teferi, Hero of Dominaria - It was a toss-up deciding between T5feri and Jace, the Mind Sculptor , but I decided to go with the less obvious choice. Unlike some newer planeswalkers (looking at you, Teferi, Time Raveler ), Teferi, Hero of Dominaria is just a clean design overall. All of his abilities feel so synergistic. His +1 is amazing in control, his -3 is both a removal spell and a win-con (weirdly enough), and his ultimate just feels good for control, turning all of your digging into permanent spot-removal. But, all that aside, he’s just fun to play with. T5feri has a lot of brew potential yet undiscovered, and I think he’s the coolest planeswalker besides Narset, Parter of Veils JAto come out in the last five years.

@TypicalTimmy: Since this has gotten Viral overnight, I've no choice but to approve. But you'll have to check my Userpage for the Spellbook of mine. Though if you want a teaser, it will be on a more personal note, & SPOILER: Aeon Engine is one of them. Great job nevertheless! ^_^

Although, having only 7 Instants/Sorceries + 1 Walker as a Strict rule outclasses my first idea; even though Blackblade Reforged was one of the cards of an official Spellbook regarding Gideon Jura ...

1/ Remand - I really enjoy these quirky tempo cards and the tempo archetype is exemplified by this card.
2/ Ephemerate - I like blinking a lot as a mechanic and this does it twice.
3/ Dimir Charm - so many good options on this one, it is quickly becoming my number 1 charm.
4/ Delay - similar to number 1, I like quirky counterspells that require a certain deck to be good.
5/ Fact or Fiction - i like interactive cards like this one.
6/ Brainstorm - a classic card that needs no introduction, but requires a lot of skill to master.
7/ Selvala's Stampede - the Conspiracy multiplayer mechanics are one of my favorite and this card has won me too many games.

8/ Venser, the Sojourner - simply the best planeswalker ever. Too bad he dead.

Gideon had 5 echantments, 1 artifact and 1 inatant in the spellbook.

Anyhow I Love Grixis and Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker is one of my favorit planeswalkers! I really enjoy suffocate my opponents resorses and win via a combo. Hers's my list:

Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker - I Love everything about him (exept the manacost)

Cruel Ultimatum - This is so me, suffocateing my opponent while getting card advantage!

Narset's Reversal - so you want to cast a cool spell? Let me cast it insead!!!

Time Walk - haha No you will not get to play.

Demonic Tutor - I prep for almost any situation.

Kolaghan's Command - This is a 2 for 1 and I like that.

Counterspell - Denied.

Damnation - might be more efficent boardsweepers but I like this one

I actually have a deck I built that I designed to be my Signature Spellbook, but I'll show off some of my highlights:

- Bubbling Muck - Somehow, no one ever expects the black High Tide . Nearly all of my most destructive plays of all times started with this.

- Defile - Mutilate lite. I was torn between this and Tragic Slip , but settled on this due to the "more black is more powerful" feeling it has.

- Exsanguinate - Ah the classic. I've finished more games with this card than... something that happens a lot.

- Liliana of the Dark Realms - It was either going to be this or Sorin Markov , but I feel that black, big mana is more indicative of my favored strategy than, "Welp, you're at ten life now."

- Phyrexian Obliterator - This creature is everything that black should be: big, high devotion, and just plain unfortunate to face.

- Syphon Mind - Probably my favorite black draw spell. Being two cards up on each of your opponents feels pretty solid.

- Temporal Extortion - Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I never play this card hoping for one mode or the other. I do my best to drop it where either mode is horrible for my opponents.

- Torment of Hailfire - Truth be told, I prefer this to Exsanguinate . I've put up some pretty ridiculous numbers with this bad boy. Even if it doesn't drop all of my opponents, whoever remains is usually so weakened they might as well be dead.

I’ll try to let the cards mostly speak for themselves.

Fact or Fiction - pick your poison.

Risk Factor - now or later?

Trespasser's Curse - would have been Hunted Phantasm if we were including creatures.

Increasing Vengeance - nothing if not excessive.

Psychic Surgery - Kederekt Parasite could also have gone here. Punishment for even the most mechanical part of the game.

Path to Exile - Certainty.

Esper Charm - options.

NA - no planeswalker in these colors other than like Urza but that’s kinda cheating and not accurate.

I am a degenerate Black/Sultai mage. Everything is a resource. In no particular order:

Crucible of Worlds - The Grave is a resource. If I can't access my lands from my graveyard, I can't exploit my grave as a resource nearly as freely as I'd like.

Bottomless Pit - My graveyard is a resource. My opponents graveyards are resources. They must be filled. And not with the cherry-picked garbage that opponents in control of what they discard would choose.

Leyline of Anticipation - Time is a resource. This increases my windows of opportunity dramatically. A key card, and a personal favorite.

Future Sight - My library is a resource. To be able to see, and play, cards from the top of my library can be quite a boon. Especially in conjunction with so many other cards.

Squandered Resources - Resource manipulation. Need more lands in the grave? We got that. Need a few more mana than you have? We got that. Tap a land for mana. Sac that land to this. Re-play it with Crucible. Tap it again. Sac it again. 4 mana baby. Desperate times call for desperate measures, but he who finds himself in desperate times with no desperate measures to turn to? A dead man.

Unfulfilled Desires - Life is a resource. More manipulation. This one is hugely underrated imo. In any deck that exploits their graveyard, this card can just churn tons of hand-picked cards into your grave, with no risk of "milling" undesired cards.

Lich's Mastery - My life, my soul, a resource to be used. A risky play, but I've had this card just go off for me so many times. Turning all life gain into card draw is bonkers. Run it with a Soul Sister or two, an Aetherflux Reservoir , or the infamous Gary for some crazy draw power. Lich's Mastery + Vilis, Broker of Blood is quickly becoming a favorite interaction of mine. Lose life? Draw cards. Gain life? Draw cards. It's a "win-win", so to speak.

MoonHollow124 says... #14

I'm all about playing with my resources and trading them for whatever's best for me at the moment. "I'm prepared to make that sacrifice"

Dark Confidant - Playing with my life. It doesn't matter until it's 0, and even then a well-placed Phyrexian Unlife or Angel's Grace can save me.

Trading Post - I love artifacts, and I'll gladly re-purpose them for something else - then rebuild them. Every one of my resources can become another one at my whim.

Beacon of Tomorrows - When I run out of resources, this is how I get more. Out of card in my library? Infinitly loop this. Out of mana? Get another turn. Out of attacks? Same answer. This is how I close out my games once I've juiced them for every drop of power I can get.

Dream Salvage - My opponent has resources too. There's no way around that. But I can make a better use out of them then they can.

Gifts Ungiven - The illusion of choice is the cruelest punishment. You think you can choose what I get? Every choice is wrong.

Unburial Rites - The dead are my playthings. A fantastic piece of value, Rites can either give me 2 fantastic reanimator spells, or effectively a draw when you mill/discard it.

Counterspell - The classic. A universal answer that will keep your opponent off of doing anything that can disrupt you.

And this leaves my planeswalker. The only planeswalker that would fit these colors is Aminatou, the Fateshifter , but I would say that I identify more with Ashiok, Dream Render JA because it puts the opponents of of resources and can fuel yours.

WELL, WHO'S BUMPING CRAP NOW?

Ugh... Finally got 7 out of 8 cards on my Signature Spellbook; all 7 have a more personal approach for each card than why I like using it. If you want to checkout my Spellbook, just go to my userpage, but don't think you'll be Seldom Impressed by my choices. I'm trying all possible outcomes. I got a lot of , 1 , etc. I personally wonder who'd be worth it; Definitely nothing about Sarkhan; he had mana, but it almost seems he gave up his & mana prior to WAR. I wonder...

OKAY, I'LL BUMP (BITE), BUT EXPECT TO ROLL 2 d6 DICE, JUST TO GET A ONE.

Since everyone pretty much abandoned this post, I think it's time to shatter not just a mere Block of Ice, but shatter the world's supply it's not funny. You probably wanted to know my Signature Spellbook all this time. I have 7/8 thus far; but I'll leave it to you as to why I chose these 7 so far:

  1. Aeon Engine

  2. Flood of Tears

  3. Wildest Dreams

  4. Ponder

  5. Act on Impulse

  6. Concentrate

  7. Echo of Eons

  8. ???

Reciting from the OP, this list is based upon Tips 2 & 3. I just mentioned why on my Userpage, but don't read unless you're a masochist for Negative IRL (Or if you disagree on a simple thing on Card 7.).

As for Card 8; the one to represent I will not create; Custom Cards in vein of MTG Set Editor seems nothing but a cheat.

As for what's available, Sarkhan would not be welcome here. He was Temur Identity, but has since ditched those colors for just his Center Color; . This Ol' Sarkhan is out; & from there, whatever hopes a Walker "had" to relate. Animar, Soul of Elements is Nature incarnate. It's disqualified as I'm not that much of a Nature Lover; in fact, I resent it ever since LIMITED EDITION ALPHA (Yep, I was born a City Boy, & now, I have a friggen Forest in the background. I never went in there.), Maelstrom Wanderer as a Legend just seems like it has no story to back it up. I actually have a lot to say about this beast; but I need concrete Storyline about this beast of a now destroyed Maelstrom . Anything can help. Has Omnath only gotten stronger each & every time a Legendary Creature about this Blob has made a new appearance? What's next?! ? ? BOTH?! Well, being an Elemental Menace, The only thing I believe about nature is the act of Reincarnation; But does it exist outside of Isekai Anime? My Spirit Animal is actually, well, an Eagle. God Forbid. But nothing else in nature will allow me an audience of the massacre of this BLOB. Surrak Dragonclaw needs no question. The Temur Frontier admires the Dragon's Use of Savagery (Thus their Insignia being a Claw), & fight to survive like rabid Feral Beasts. In fact, their colors are actually the most common in the Whole Ice Age Block (Coldsnap included.), thus the Siberian Shaman Culturistics fit them just fine; but they don't for me. I like cooler areas, but this is more akin to the Polar Ice Caps. Plus, Surrak actually seems like a reckless Khan anyway. He's out, & from there, so is Yasova. This leaves us with 2 more Choices (3 if anyone knows of Maelstrom Wanderer 's backstory.): Intet, the Dreamer , or Riku of Two Reflections . Intet has absolutely nothing known unless you can get a copy of MTG: Commander 2011's Mirror Mastery; which also includes Riku of Two Reflections . The latter seems to fit some aspects of me, but ABSOULTELY NOTHING is known about Intet, the Dreamer

Well, it's down to 2 (Or 3.) Legendary Creatures. If you still have the time, strengthen your weak-willed selves if you want to know the 7 Cards of the Spellbook prior to now. I still ponder about this...

HOW DOES ONE BUMP (CHOMP) LIKE A WEIRDO?

(NOTE: I heard that Bump Jokes are supposedly a bad thing here. If that's true, how do I bold just "BUMP" w/o a bad pun? Oka, back to the Topic...)

...

It seems this Topic is like having an Astral Plane, but Physicality is entirely Nil. I guess I have to show my Spellbook from here? Take caution; this is some very personal stuff you're about to read...

  1. Aeon Engine : Have you ever wanted to change yourself prior to now? I do; how I got to this point is a cruel progress. My past was filled w/ nothing but despair. I was a crybaby of a B----, & my Asperger's Syndrome didn't help matters (At the time, people thought I was different, but not in a good way; it was near the end of the quest to discover Autism). Neither did mixing ZOLOFT w/ Chocolate Milk made from Nesquik Powder; but Risperdal, at preteen status?! OI! I never liked Zoloft in the first place, & that's how I got the personality I have today; not through Mana, but Zoloft. Fun Fact: Aeon Engine was created by WotC in response to Paradox Engine 's sudden banning in Commander/EDH. Paradox was even mentioned in the Flavor Text.

  2. Flood of Tears This card is busted for a good reason: Instant Cheat for Omniscience . If tears bring hope, it has never arrived. While there are bad memories of my past, how can one not even be 0.infinity & 1% Good memories? Mine are BEAST WARS, Aurex Cluster Transformers (Armada, Energon, & Cybertron), Medabots, Pre-Burst Beyblade, among others to note. I was going to represent Flood of Recollection on this; but when you essentially bounce (Almost) EVERYTHING, just to tutor into play whatever permanent (This can also be a LAND; It does not say nonland permanent!) you freakin want, maybe utilizing your Unfathomable & Distraught Sorrow... um, maybe it might not be so bad after all... Fast Fact: I actually have a soft spot for ol' Mu Yanling. Her divine Beauty & Grace makes her a very powerful Neowalker even after surviving the WAR. Damn though, ol' Mowu turning to stone w/o needing to be Petrified by Vraska . Well, at least she's hunting down Dovin Baan … Heh.

  3. Wildest Dreams : This card represents the very things I want to do as a result: Such as be an Indie Game Developer, Make a Custom PC to fit such a game's needs (It is planned to be on Par w/ the PS5; w/ support for 8K. What budget to use?), even being on YouTube not just for gameplay purpose anymore, but in addition, talking about what I like to talk about, & yes, eve the MTG ARENA Twitch Streams. That, & an Spell that can be recurred by Riftsweeper anyway is awesome.

  4. Ponder : To think is to try & Hatch an idea. Whatever you need to do in order to accomplish your goals. How to Approach a Scenario... How to think & act fast in a stressful Situation; If you can put more than just Blood, Sweat, & Tears into it, Anything that is fixed in the realism of our world is possible. Also, I think of ideas that are almost parallel to WARHAMMER 40,000's Tzeentch's status as the Changer of Ways. & being a One-Use Sensei's Divining Top is actually pretty good.

  5. Act on Impulse : Sometimes you have that tingling sense you need to fufill; FAST. For me? It can be Desires of the Human Flesh, Anime ASMR, Eating something I'm allergic to, it just goes on. This is the Same feeling for Impulsive Draw, & for this one; I suggest you prep yourself before exiling 3 to cast ( Unless you press your luck on this... ). I wonder how to Make Impulsive Draw better in , & ?

  6. Concentrate : Words lie? People Lie? The Lands speaks the Truth? Uh, no, Garruk Wildspeaker . Even when my head has so many ideas; some finally realized in much better art than before: Sakura-Tribe Elder , Lightning Greaves , even a new art for Solemn Simulacrum better than the Kaladesh Inventions version. What did you think is a lie also, you bats--- crazy Druid turned Walker Hunter? Our minds are our greatest treasure in ourselves; & yours just so happened to be removed from a complete Monster to you. Now I just want the original Art for Harmonize in the future; WotC is at least looking slightly up at the least. OH, & suck on this, Garruk fans: When ol' Liliana meets w/ Kaya ; now a Gatewatch member in her stead; I'll ask you a question w/ a JEAPORDY-Style Clue: These Two Walkers are both after Liliana Vess , but out of both of them, one will get in the way w/ another & vice versa to kill one of the last "Oldwalkers"; Actually, Garruk has since been cured of The Chain Veil 's curse, but whether he'll backup Liliana Vess or not we've yet to see...

  7. Echo of Eons : Remember what I said about how Time Stretch speaks nothing but the Truth? Well, you're about to be screwed as to why (Engages a more, Lawful Evil Persona...) There has always been this, & ONLY THIS. Only the Present Exists. The Past is just recovered Information that already happened as the Present Progresses through time, & the Future is merely the Present as it progresses forward through the Flow of Time. How could it work like a VCR? Fast Forward is Accelerating All of Reality. Rewind does the same, but inverse. Pause stops all or Reality; Infinite Dimensional Layers, it's essentially worse than Absolute Zero, as nobody can even Move; the Flow of Time ceases, & therefore, Reality. Record would allow you to repeat the good times now, but when would you believe that very clip will be either Boring, or Tear Jerking? What if one could foolishly break the laws of Temporal Science? Accelerating time? Reversing it? Force one through Accelerated Aging? Reversing the Present Time of another? Foreseeing a Future that's just another section of a later Present?
Forcing one's consciousness to several days back to one point in their life that already happened? Stopping one's Time by pausing it? Create Time Paradoxal Anomalies of any physical form? Sharing one's Senses in another Timeline/Dimensional Layer? Going back to a previous Present of another? Forcing one so far into a Later Section of out Present that it pales on BFR (BattleField Removal)? Same for being sent back in time where its Present should be only lost to Historical Records? What could all this mean as The Present is the one true form of time? You might be wondering, what is this suppose to mean? Simple: Sakuya Izayoi (Touhou Project) vs Kurumi Tokisaki (DATE-A-LIVE) needs to be made into fruition. MAKE IT HAPPEN, Hyun's Dojo Community. or ROOSTER TEETH. They're fine too... But when you need a good Timetwister that doesn't exile itself right away, remember the murderer MTG's Idea of Goldilocks wanted to murder you too for backing up A Tribal Leader of one of the Worst Viable Creature Types. . I wish I had a BURN! GIF to those that say Shit like BEAR FORCE ONE is "Great". Bears don't even have Non-Vanilla Effects most of the time. Goldilocks would rather kill a Ruler of her Animal Type than just simply kill Mama Bear, Papa Bear, & Baby Bear.

  8. ???: Maelstrom Wanderer , Riku of Two Reflections , Intet, the Dreamer , a Chandra Walker... Anything can apply here for something, but I believe my best bet is to include some Personality Traits that I can relate to. Take the Triumphs of WAR for instance. Chandra's Triumph mentions finding your ideal self, & believing in the idea of the lack of perfection; both of these I can relate to. Jace's Triumph states ultimate power (This is Omnipotence Vibes incarnate.) is self-defeating; also agreeing on this. Liliana's Triumph even states having independence is very important; I agree with this as well. But for Gideon's Triumph & Nissa's Triumph , they have nothing to contribute to. Might as well continue from there: Believing in the salvation of just being alive is pointless; Hell, Sirius Black in the Movie Adaptation of Prisoner of Azkaban said this: "I would have died! I would have died rather than betray my friends, as we would have done for you!" Like Gideon Jura/Kytheon long after the fact, Ol' Padfoot was killed to early. Nissa though, is FAR worse. Why destroy the Unnatural, when you can channel its power & make excellent use of it? Even fostering Life? Nearly every Animal on Earth; Discovered or Not, has a Mortality Rate for each individual Organism; Mayflies alone live for 5 MINUTES. But even some organisms (I'll talk of Animals in this case.) are capable of resetting their lifespan from an old age, to being reborn from using itself; not even Phoenix's; those who are reborn from their own ash could do something this epic.

But if you wanted to know my personality traits to further help out this cause, here's what I'll say for all 5 individual Mana Colors:

: Equality (I completely understand what the ladies need to do to acquire this, but merely this isn't enough; I'd actually would rather talk about how to actually have all genders created Equal; backing it up by a Tierlist Template on the internet (Does anyone know where to find one? I wanted to use one to show the Goldilocks Effect for females in fiction. I'll try best not to be inappropriate. ;)), Sadly, that's about it for ...

: Knowledge (Given my passion for finding out information on stuff I like ALOT, this is a NO Brainer; plus, Narset 's Center Color is , & Autistic; like I too am Asperger's. Hell even Homunculi, One-Eyed, or something else entirely are usually also this; a byproduct of Alchemy. WotC could've gave a Homunculus Legendary another Eye at least, & they would've gotten away w/ it. Any Alchemist Planeswalkers out there?

Cautious: Especially in the Summer, I always have to watch my own back, as I see things that are real, but nobody else believes me. I really wish more people are like Donald Epps of NUMB3RS fame on this; I mean, he said approach with extreme caution. I'm doing this every day of my life even now. I mean, At least I'm not Pantophobic; Fearing Everything is a true nightmare; Reality itself forces fear down your throat. Really blows if you have this Phobia...

I also believe everything starts as a Blank Slate; AKA Tabula Rasa; also, a name of one of the shortest lived MMO's ever (Did it suck that much? :/). But in all seriousness, you can't just have some Mono/Poly-Theistic Deity(ies) shape something that just ends up being a mere story of whatever Era that Text resides from (Even the Holy Bible is just a bunch of stories anyway, though we got Anime/Manga to learn such things anyway; sorry if I'm being Anti-Semetic; I have no such intention, honest.)

Despite the elements here, I actually don't agree with the Recurring Elements: I'd rather have Reality punch me in the face, I believe in both thought & action, & I believe only the Present exists.

: Self-Interest: Obviously, I'm a Team of One; & I actually wanted to make my own Fighting Game as an aspiring Indie Game Developer of a team of that same one. As for anything Self-Interesting to me, I like Sprite Based Fighters, I promote hate to the Switch for stealing all my favorite Games of this generation, & forcing me to resort to STEAM. Why can't the PS4 pro get anything meaningful anymore when it gets ported to the Switch, or doesn't even get a port also? Geez...

Ambition is another part about my ideas for . If you can put your mind to it, you can basically upgrade the Humanly Possible. In my case, it's making a 2D Fighter w/ Graphical elements not even the Switch can handle in terms of Processing power; but what kind of Custom Gaming PC Build would be needed to match PS5's Console Specs as a whole?

Ego, Superego, & Id. Just look them up; Dr. Freud would've loved it if you know my desires for all 3. XP

Even Self seems to apply to ; even if it seems that somebody awhile back stated I'm just calling out for help. Did I need any? Not even close. I'm learning; albeit VERY SLOWLY as to what I believe my best interests for my decks are. Disagree w/ my deckbuilding ideas, but they seem to fit fine.

: Of course I want to start my Center Color w/ a reference to another fighter; FREE; which was on ol' SoL Badguy's Attire. Freedom can take man forms; Freedom of Expression (Oi, STEAM Staff. you have users from Nippon/Japan that like Hentai. Why the hell would you restrict that to them also?; IT'S A WAY OF LIFE FOR THEM.), Right to Freedom of Speech, this list will go on, so, moving on...

Raw Emotion; Joy, Anger, Sorrow, Asperger's, Meek; heck, you can also say I'm mostly Kuudere; & how I'm quiet, & cold on the outside, but The Who is about to be trampled as I also have more personality traits of Anime/Manga/etc.; & they switch on the fly. So, I can be calm, & reserved one moment, & the next, I'm excited as crap. XD

My Impulsive mind is known for only one thing: Desire to fulfill what ever is needed for whatever situation. If it can't be fulfilled; I'll find another way; but how can impulsive Draw be good in cEDH? Not that I'd want it in anyway, but how would one make Apex of Power ; a HUGE Impulsive Draw Card actually woth playing in Boros? & why WotC should look back at their Dorks in their colors & wonder; Why did we never have a Dork w/: "Add " of the Same for : "Add "? Also, Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero & Eldrazi Displacer now both suck thanks to Hushbringer & Deafening Silence . Any help on cEDH Boros as of current, please?

Carelessness is, sadly, another trait. One shard of my whole set of Personalities is easily this; I'm sluggish IRL, but I'm also someone who talks so much in a reckless manner, one's mentality is inadvertently pushed to the Limit; not just Physically, but also Mentally, & Emotionally. So if I've a lot t say; just hope it's nothing you'd not know;

: Lastly, we got Green; but only believe in one aspect of Spiritism as a whole: Reincarnation. This has me wondering what my next life, or my previous is; & I hope that when WotC makes that Anime/Manga Plane of Existence; it isn't Isekai based in any way; why would anyone be Reincarnated to another MTG Timeline Completely in another Plane of Existence? Utter Nonsense even for me.

And... That's all my traits I can think of? Anyhow, I'm truly sorry for the MAMMOTH Sized Text; I just wanted to see what Legend can be relatable in my mind. But I've just one last question to the user who started (& inadvertently abandoned... D:) this from the start:

@TypicalTimmy: Does Color Identity truly matter about who I should choose for this? I'm NOT going to waste my time making a Custom Card unless I can't find a Legend; Walker, or Creature, that seems to fit most of 7/8 cards of the Spellbook of mine, or at least, a decent amount of traits I mentioned just now. I really hope anyone can think of a Legendary Creature/Planeswalker of such a sort; Even I know Homunculi are created through Alchemy, & don't always have one Eye; but In still wonder if Homunculus Tribal is also possible; but that's for another time...

OKAY, I think I made a GINOURMOUS post all around. Sorry to say, I'm ending it here. Later. I'll be fine tuning my garbage until I get a concrete answer...

BMHKain I think the trick to bumping is to never use the word bump, nor mention that you are trying to bump. Bolding it is right out. Just post your comment and leave out anything bump related, and it still 'bumps' the post. Making up words including bump (i.e. bumpotize) should be avoided like the plague.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I agree. If interest was lost in this thread, that's 100% okay. It's not exactly "discussion worthy"; Just a fun little thing for users to make a one-off post of. Same thing applies to my thread Turn YOURSELF into a Planeswalker!!. Though that one seems to be far more popular, which is awesome :)
