Depressing Flavor Text

So I was wondering what you guys think the most depressing flavor text in the game is. For me it's probably a tossup between Blessed Spirits and Wandering Ones.

Between the two I feel wandering ones is probably more depressing, since it is about the agony of utter abandonment. At least the dead children look happy on the spirits. The 'unnamed beggar' to whom the quote is attributed is just absolutely soulcrushing.

Village Cannibals' flavour text is pretty depressing, though it is compounded by the name, art and ability.

Cloistered Youth  Flip is one

Cursebreak is somehow depressing if you think of the story behind it

Also Loyal Cathar  Flip and its transformed form

I have to go with Serendipitous_Hummingbird on this one. Being someone whose true worst fear is being abandoned by those whom I consider to be my family and loved ones, Wandering Ones hits way too damn close to home.

On a lighter note, someone should make a deck with all these cards in it. Or just try to make an actually playable deck using only cards from this thread.

I like the poeticness of the Khans of Tarkir fetch lands, in particular the Flooded Strand: Flooded Strand.

I wouldn't say it's depressing, but the poetry in Sylvan Caryatid's text is very aspiring to me. Makes me want to listen to Wolves in the Throne Room.

my brother runs Strangleroot Geist in his treefolk deck... kinda depressing having them attacking with the trees they hung from.

I know it's not depressing as such, but I have always loved the flavor text for Insectile Aberration

@canterlotguardian You didn't know Wolves in the Throne Room. Man, do I have a pile of music for you. If you care, only, of course. If you didn't know about Wolves, you probably don't know a single Cascadian Black Metal band, which, in my eyes, is the best Music genre ever.
Just don't listen to their most recent output, Celestite, first. It's not representative towards their music in general.

Ogre Resister

Sometime ago on the internet I read something that goes like this:

"When New Phyrexia was announced you knew his battle was lost."

Somehow you'll feel bad for this simple minded ogre.

Phyrexian Hulk is pretty grim, especially since it's a children's rhyme.
