What Is The Best Common Of Each Color In AVR.
Examples
White-
Blue -
Black -
card:Predator's Gambit
Red -
hatcher-ravolt
Green -
Pillar of Flame in my personal opinion the best common out of any in the set. card:Geralf's Messengers, Strangleroot Geist s etc. are now 1 mana away from being completely removed for RDW and anything else running red. Not to mention if you don't get the real use of it, it's just a sorcery speed Shock .
I believe it's a sleeper right now simply because G/R aggro is only starting up, and Zombies is on the down low until rotation. I believe this will be a staple in every sideboard as a 1 or 2-of, just like the sleeper Zealous Conscripts .

Also, it's the only item with something not better than it. You can sit here and stare at these cards and say two things about them.
a) "Why would I ever want to play this card. I don't think I'm getting my mana's worth."
b) "lol Look at this card over here. It's so much better."
The problem is, Pillar of Flame can't be any cheaper, and it can't be beat by anything. RSZ comes close, but you have to pay 2R for the same effect.

Death Wind is probably the best. Instant speed removal that gets around indestrictible. Very nice. Shame everything else in black more or less sucks.

I like Cloudshift ... a lot. It saves your creatures when needed. Allows you to chump block and then save that blocker. Then the creature comes back in and uses its enter the battlefield ability and can be soulbound with something else. Its Great.
My other favorite is Amass the Components . You get to draw 3 cards and then put one on the bottom of your library. Now it may seem at first to be just an overpriced Divination , but it gives you better card options. Drawing 3 cards and being able to place a useless land at the bottom is great. Or perhaps you just picked up a miracle card by accident. Put it at the bottom of your library then ponder and shuffle and you're good to go. In the first case, you have less chance of drawing a land (albeit small decrease, but every bit helps), when you don't need it. In the second, you can actually get use out of the miracle rather than it uselessly taking up space in your library.

It largely depends on what format you're talking about.
In Standard, probably Cloudshift and Pillar of Flame . In Limited, Righteous Blow .

Geist Snatch a cheap counterspell that is very versatile, and the best thing is that it is printed in a set where it have no obvious counters,..
ok, i take it back
Grounded counters delvers.

@Dirt3pz cough Cavern of Souls cough. Now, given that it is not a common i just thought i should throw that out for you since you said that Geist Snatch had no obvious counters. Cavern completely stomps geist snatch in limited.

As for the best common, I have to say that Pillar of Flame sees the most competitive play out of all of them. So i guess that would make it the best.

green - Wandering Wolf great with pumping effects for near unblockable damage if let unattended to long.
colorless - Bladed Bracers it was the best of the worst although the scrolls could be useful in the right deck.
