Well basically, I'm getting back into MTG after a 4 / 5 year break, and before then had little experience when it comes to MTG lingo as such. Basically just asking for a brief explanation of some language and terminology it would be essential to know. Thank you in advanced, of course.
Well, there is a LOT of terminology in MTG. You can visit something like MTG Wiki for specific terms, but give us a list of terms you have trouble with and we will be happy to help.

Thank you both for the comment. I do although understand the words of which are in the glossary. I guess I should have specified that I was looking for definitions of words like Aggro and Game control decks.

Aggro - decks that run a large amount of low cost spells, typically small creatures like Goblin Guide and burn spells like Lightning Bolt. They try to kill other decks as fast as possible
Midrange - decks that specialize in the middle part of the game. They disrupt aggro players in the early game, then use midcosted creatures like Siege Rhino to stabilize and threaten. They fare well in most matchups, but also have the weaknesses of aggro and control decks at the same time.
Control - decks that want to get to the endgame and use large resilient creatures to win. They control the game using Counterspells, and stop threats by bouncing them with cards like Boomerang. They finish the game with resilient creatures like Keranos, God of Storms and Prognostic Sphinx.
Combo - decks that are trying to find the pieces of an infinite combo to win. They are very fast, and weak to disruption. Some great examples include Splinter Twin + Pestermite

Whatever you do, "janky" is not a term to include in a research paper.

Some of the terms linked by ChiefBell are very rarely used or not used at all, so don't go spamming them at risk of looking like a buffoon. :)
