Price Margins Between Cards

The price margin between foil and non-foil cards has become pretty slim with some of the newer sets. Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know why? The only thing I can think of as being the reason is the piss poor quality control and card stock.

Its because of collector boosters and how every rare and mythic is foil, this causes foils to be much more common and thus it decreases the multiplier by a lot.

More people are playing the game. More whales are cracking the whale packs and there are products that are handing out foils like halloween candy.

Just supply mainly

Check out the foil prices of any set before throne of eldraine where you could only get them from booster packs when collectors stuff didnt exist. You might get 5-6 foils in a box and one or POSSIBLY two would be rares if you're lucky. You'd probably need to crack 3 boxes to get a single foil mythic, which would be ~~~$300. Now with collector boxes you can pay around $250 ish (depends on the one) to get anywhere between 8-12+ foil mythics, the difference is night and day.

And compare THAT to even 7th-9th edition, where you might get 2-3 foils in a box, and youd probably have to crack 2-3 boxes to get a single foil rare, and probably an entire case of 6 boxes to have a decent shot of a foil mythic.

The other issue along with supply is quality. The cards are so curled that they are oftentimes less desirable than the regular versions, especially for tournament players.
