I'm interested in buying these Extra Life cards - https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/magic-extra-life-2019-10-03.

I know that these special sets have had a history of selling out almost immediately. On the page I linked to, it claims that it'll be on sale for from October 2nd to November 5th.

I don't have any experience buying these special sets. Should I reasonably expect them to be bought out within a day? Or is this in some way a different approach to selling special sets from previous ones, and I'll have the chance to buy the cards for the $50 within that time frame, and not have to depend on secondary market which will no doubt be somewhat more expensive?

Also, though I realise this is a hard question to reasonably answer, at what rate should I expect the price of these cards to raise on the secondary market after they sell out from the original source?

It's hard to say. The Hascon Collection is probably the closest relative thing (promo non-legal foils) and speculators ate it hard on that one. It was 159.99 msrp in 2017... 2 years later it's still $160 (or $116 as singles). This one costing less than 1/3 the price and being for a good cause may cause this to sell faster... like I said, hard to say. I doubt it'll sell out super fast like the Ravnica Mythic Editions did.
