Phyrexian Praetors: Compleat Edition Impact on Prices

I'll be honest, I did not expect the Praetor secret lair to be so cheap. $30 for all 5 Praetors, or $40 for foil ones? Wow. In the first place, the praetors all together easily surpass $100 in value. Will this impact the values of other printings of these cards? I wonder if it will because Secret Lair printings are low print run in the first place, so it's not like there will be a large increase in supply.

On another note, though, will Secret Lair be wizards way to reprint expensive cards? Perhaps one at a time to make individual secret lairs sell well, or maybe in big groups?

Look at cards of similar prices of other secret lair cards. And its probably gonna be 50-60

This is definitely one of the better deals. Also, remember this is a print to demand product and lots of people buy these in bulk to sell off later at a higher price point and provide a service to those who either weren't informed about the product at the time or weren't in the game. I'd imagine it'll be like all the other lairs with an initial dip followed by prices rubberbanding to normal.

Will they be a way for them to reprint expensive cards? They've been using it for that, it's one of the primary ways they get people to buy them. Secondly SL's are not really small prints. As for the original question, they'll more likely than not have a bit of an impact but probably not to big of one.

My estimation is that almost everyone who wants the Secret Lair is going to buy it. That's true for most Secret Lairs but especially given that the Phyrexian-text Elesh Norn is a $400 Judge Promo, Phyrexian-text Vorinclex is one of the most valuable things you can get from Kaldheim, and the nonfoil version of the Lair is only $30.

That said it may take some demand out of the market, but older printings usually keep their value from age. Just checking the prices of some other Secret Lair cards (Bitterblossom, Life from the Loam, Narset, et cetera) it looks like original printings took a bit of a hit but in the grand scheme of things the usual market forces are doing more.

SpammyV, the Secret Lair won't significantly affect the prie of the Judge Promo. Judge Promos are expensive because they're super rare, and a Secret Lair printing won't change that.

They're not expensive because of the mechanics - it's because it's a collectors' item.
