One day before the ban, the price of Oko, Thief of Crowns bottomed our on TCGplayer at around $20. Now a couple of days later, it seems the price is steadily building again as it just hit $36.

What do you guys think is the ceiling for post-ban Oko?

It's normal. Post ban the price dropped because it was expected not to be used in standard. So people started buying it because of the lower price. So now people started to sell it for an higher price because there is a lot of people looking to buy it.

It would be surprising, if it were only a standard playable card - he is used in the best modern deck Simic Whirza and is making some waves in Legacy and Vintage and is a popular option for Commander.

As stated above, the "ban discount" is now over and people from other formats are enjoying the low price, whose demand is driving the price back up.

Gotcha! I don’t know much about formats outside of Standard and Limited, so pardon my lack of knowledge.

My only question now is, what is the ceiling for him?

I would say he is still too low, and would top out at around 45-50 bucks. The news of the ban are still fresh and driving the supply/demand train at full speed towards that mark.
