Utvara Hellkite? Only for mono decks

I was looking at Utvara Hellkite which has a converted cost of 8 with 2 red, is it viable in a 60 card blue and red deck? I have four Dragonlord's Servant to bring the cost down.
Or is this card meant more for EDH or mono decks?

If a mono-R dragon-stacking commander is what you're looking for, Lathliss, Dragon Queen might be what you're looking for.

I played a 60 card kitchen table gruul dragon deck with 2 copies of utvara hellkite but I was running sets of Quicksilver Amulet and Fires of Invention lol

I made a 60 card Hellkite deck, this was the best I could do: Utvara Hellkite (The Deck). Love to hear your thoughts!

Yeah that's what I thought, for it work well semi-completively, you'd probably need 4 Dragonlord's Servant s and/or Dragonspeaker Shaman s to be able to reduce it's cost and even with the perfect hand the earliest you could cast it would be turn 5. Maybe work in a Jhoira of the Ghitu , so could play it without paying the cost.
As I understand it, in competitive games turn 5 is at the end of the game anyway.
Maybe someone could make it work, not me though, I'll keep it in my casual or commander deck.
It would be interesting seeing it as a commander for dragon themed commander deck, just stacking up 6/6 dragon tokens.
