Inspired Ideas for Disciple of Deceit deck

Ever since Disciple of Deceit was released, I've been tinkering with deck ideas; how could a Johnny not drool over that? I've finally been able to build a somewhat-consistent deck with it, as I was able to make Top 8 with it at SCG Night yesterday, and really should have made Top 4 if not for a serious misplay. Here's the list:
Anyways, due to the plethora of ways to abuse the Disciple, I'm sure there are ideas I have overlooked, so I wanted to enlist the help of the TO community to get some fresh thoughts.
A few important notes on the deck:
-Everything costs 1, 2, or 3. I'm willing to consider other CMC's, but there needs to be a solid variety of options, not just one or two. Also, really high CMC's should be avoided due to Pain Seer.
-I started off with BUG, but fully playing 3 colors made the land either too slow or too painful. That said, due to Springleaf Drum, I'd be willing to consider a card or two from a 3rd color if the power level is worth it.
-The win con is far from perfect, but it gets there and works within the deck's strategy. Essentially, you want to Transmute a Marang River Prowler into some useful control element, cast him from the yard, and Bestow onto him, with lifelink from Jorubai Murk Lurker helping to seal the deal. Just thought I'd explain that so you don't have to decipher it when viewing the deck lol.
-Oh yeah, we're playing Standard.

You're completely insane. That is independent of your 20 lands idea. Having said that, it's not like you're not going to hit everything you need on 20 lands. Everything you hit is from discarding anyway. To keep yourself from losing your necessary components, some variety of unblockable (Aqueous Form? It gets you scry too...) might be worth getting so you don't swing into death touches or flashed in beasts. Likewise, Hexproof from something like Cloudform would help for everything but board wipes. Cloudform would also protect your win cons and Disciple of Deceit or Pain Seers. So yeah, some small cheap auras.

Haha true on the first account. As far as Cloudform goes, that does seem a bit like magical Christmasland since I would need to hit one of my Disciples or Pain Seers off the top. But I do really like Aqueous Form, hadn't even thought of that. I was also thinking of using that last slot for Merciless Executioner, Thoughtseize, Disdainful Stroke mainboarded, or another Jorubai Murk Lurker.

You're managing what you hit pretty well through land filtering (scry, fetch), and you're already losing 3 off every Prowler you hit. You have 12 creatures (about), and any creature you see is value when Cloudformed. Regardless of whether it's a win con.

Also, tell me if I'm completely insane for wanting to cut down to 20 lands.
