Elf Deck: Lead the Stampede or Sylvan Messenger?

I'm really warring with myself over these two cards. Figure a deck with between 30 and 38 elves not counting these four slots - Lead the Stampede lets me dig 5 cards deep for 3 mana while Sylvan Messenger lets me go 4 deep for 4 mana but also gives me a 2/2 elf with trample in the bargain.
How much of a difference would it make whether the deck had Elvish Harbinger in it? When I'm playing with EH in the deck, it seems like Sylvan Messenger is the card I go for 90% of the time, but when I take EH out, that's when the two cards really seem like a toss up. Thoughts?
It's a small difference, but Sylvan Messenger doesn't per you hit Phyrexian Revoker, Selfless Spirit or Scavenging Ooze which can be very important on some matchup, even more if you have just sideboarded them.

Lead the Stampede is often a better Harmonize for in Elf decks with a high creature count.

I prefer Lead the Stampede - in some cases I prefer it more than CoCo
