Zleria, Madness Provoked

Wanted to see if I could make something work with these three tangential mechanics.

Thoughts? I aimed for each one to flow into the next. Her +1 feeds her -4 as well as her -8 by giving you a means to get 4 card types, or 7 cards in total.

Additionally, her -4 puts bodies in the graveyard for her -8 to look at, as well as her +1 dropping bodies if you choose to discard creature cards.

She could do without the ETB and Madness cost, but I felt it was a nice way to really tie her all together and give her a unique identity. The card had space, and I flows nicely, so why not give the option. Plus you can Madness her directly into her -4 which is always super nice.

I really like the design (plus the art you chose fits the name pretty well)!

I do wonder if the ultimate could be adjusted a bit, though. It seems rather weak for a 4.5 mana planeswalker that takes 4.5 turns to reach its ultimate (compare to Venser, the Sojourner or Sarkhan Unbroken or even Ajani Vengeant).

TheOfficialCreator, thanks! The artwork, I must say, actually belongs to a Magic card already: Maniacal Rage.

Yes, I do agree her ultimate is rather week. I was actually considering making it faster to achieve? Perhaps her Madness cost ETB with +2 additional loyalty, bumping her up from 3 to 5. Then when you +1, she ends the turn with 6.

If her final ultimate is then bumped down to -7, you'd hit that in just two turns: One more to get her to 7, then ultimate the following turn.

This also aligns with Rakdos being an incredibly aggressive color pattern, both in terms of offensive abilities but also in terms of overall speed of progression.

TypicalTimmy that would probably work!

And yeah, i knew the artwork was from an existing card, i just love it when people use existing art in new and creative ways (though i seem to be in the minority for that opinion lol)

TheOfficialCreator, one of the ways I enjoy to create cards is I go over to Bing (I prefer Bing over Google) and type in something such as "Fantasy artwork dinosaur" and browse their image pool until a piece of art inspires me.

I found the artwork that way and immediately had to make something. Everything just flowed so naturally when building her. Honestly the hardest part was the name, haha. I wanted to capture a name that sounded like it could possibly be from Ravnica or Innistrad, without actually eluding toward either one directly.

TheOfficialCreator, yeah I find that Bing has a more fluid suggestion algorithm. I also like how Bing doesn't buy and track data nearly as aggressively as Google does, so you are far more likely to find content that isn't "catered" to you. In other words, unlike Google, I won't be locked in an echo chamber with Bing.
