I know Mark Rosewater doesn't want a return to Kamigawa (And would probably go as far as to tell the creative team to make it so Bolas destroyed it during Future Sight as retribution for Tetsuo Umezawa killing him), but I do and would like to see what the plane could look like with how the game has progressed in the 15 or so years since.

It's a simple idea, but imagine Elbrus, the Binding Blade  ^Flip if it were actually playable.

Legendary Artifact - Equipment

Equipped creature gets +1/+0 for each charge counter on Masamune, the Fobidden Blade and has rage (It attacks each turn if able).

Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage, put a charge counter on Masamune. Then, if Masamune has 3 or more charge counters, sacrifice the equipped creature and transform Masamune.

Equip - Pay 3 life.

Menace, rage

Bushido 3 (When this creature blocks or becomes blocked, it gets +3/+3 until end of turn).

: Muramasa the Butcher gains trample or indestructible until end of turn.

Whenever Muramasa deals combat damage to a player, it deals X damage divided as you choose among creatures that player controls where X is the amount of combat damage Muramasa dealt to that player.

Couldn't help but think of the League of Legends items Manamune and Muramana, seeing those names. Although those items are also inspired by the story of Japan's greatest swordsmiths.

Dang, this post made me have to go back and listen to Periphery’s second album again. Not a bad thing at all, mind you. Album’s a banger. :)

(The first and last songs on the album are titled Muramasa and Masemune, respectively.)

What bothers me about this is I'm pretty sure muramasa was the sword Smith that made the blade

hungry000 Chrono Trigger just had Masamune which was split between the spirits Masa and Mune. I recall them having a sister as well, but I can't remember her name for the life of me.
