It’s a wild card, for sure. I’d be inclined to have a creature that ancient and powerful basically tire of its controller and then rampage on its own (or even decide to leave). Maybe exile itself and the next biggest creature, eat it, then return later to snatch up another one. Maybe when it runs out of targets it starts eating you. You know, something like that. I feel like a dragon of that sort, that’s been around the block a few thousand years, would get awful tired of me pretending to be able to boss it around.
