Commander legends? A draftable commander set... I am psyched for this.... gonna draft a box, maybe crack a box and see what I can add to my collection!

I’m getting a box and drafting it! I’m super excited for the return of partners I just wish they had made two color partners.

I think the virus is what’s breaking the fun for me. I can’t really draft with my friends, and it’s not going to be available at my lgs. I bought a box (once again, virus), but I’m not super sure I’ll get a second.

I'm just looking forward to cards like Path of Ancestry, Arcane Signet, and Command Tower hitting rock bottom and buying like 10 to 15 each.

The cards look fun to brew with, but I've never been one for draft, especially if the deck is any larger than 60 cards.

Im super excited for Archelos, Lagoon Mystic! Hes gonna replace Damia, Sage of Stone in my sultai deck. I rarely cast Damia anyways, and this little turtle dude seems quite useful :). Also Opposition Agent ofcourse. I already got my Maralen of the Mornsong :)

When you draft this set you are drafting a 60 card deck instead of the usual 40 but not the 100 commander usually is.
You also pick two cards at a time since the packs have 20 cards each they wanted to speed it up a little bit.
All in all I think these are exciting changes to the draft format I already love. I also believe, more than ever, it will be important not to get too excited about a theme. It will be pretty hard in such a large set to build a deck entirely focused on one thing.
There are a lot of individual cards I am excited for to be sure but I think actually drafting is the most exciting part for me... If I can get one together of course lol.

Anyone who says this set is "underwhelming" is clearly unable to fully evaluate cards and how they will impact a format...
There are 3 cards that will immediately become cEDH staples and maybe even casual as well:
There are also a lot of other cards that are great for casual as well as plenty of good reprints to bring down prices of cards due to them only having 1 or 2 printings.
Overall, this set is a great set. HOWEVER, I strongly feel that WotC should never print a set like this without the EDH Rules Committee weighing in on set design for Commander only sets. The reason: WotC doesn't control the EDH format, the RC does (essentially). And it has been proven that WotC has been "upping" the power level of their sets, and when you do that in a format like EDH, you end up with 'broken' cards/combos.
I play casual and cEDH. Overall, EDH should be a 'casual' format and be 'fun'. I enjoy both avenues of casual and competitive, but WotC is treating it like a tournament viable format when in reality, tournaments and events are hard to come by, therefore the competitive format of EDH (cEDH) isn't as highly played by the majority of EDH players.
TL;DR: This set is powerful and overall good. WotC needs to stymie the power creep.

so are Sol Ring in the draft boosters? Someone in the comment section on Mythic Spoiler says "Look at the collector number. It's not in the main set/not in draft boosters". Sol Ring has collectors number 472 (not 472/xxx like other cards). And does this mean cards like Vampiric Tutor, Sphinx of the Second Sun, Magus of the Order, Muldrotha, the Gravetide and many others wont be in draft boosters?

aah.. the extended art versions of tutor, sphinx and magus has that kind of collector number. There are normal versions too in the draft boosters. Muldrotha doesnt have extended art but that kind of collector number, is he gonna be in draft boosters?

smackjack agreed, can't wait to buy a box. I now need a he'll kite courser, armored sky hunter, the white monarch court card.... , scroll rack, F'ING MANA DRAIN!

I only play edh but this set just doesn't seem all the exciting. Theres some cool cards and a few new options for generals. But for this being the first commander set it isn't as exciting as I thought it would be
