Thoughts on a Subira/Teferi rule 0 partner deck?

Hey all. I was debating making another rule 0 deck, this time featuring the canon couple of Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and his wife Subira, Tulzidi Caravanner. I was wondering if any more experienced players and deck builders could tell me if there are any glaring issues eith this pairing? Like, anything blatantly overpowered?

My first thought is that Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive with Subira would be really strong. Add in Teferi's Ageless Insight and we've got a pretty decent start!

Thoughts?

So your creature spells have flash, and you can give them haste. You can also get a little bit of draw, assuming you are able to possibly go wide enough to get past blockers. And you stop instant speed spells.

Not really broken, at all. It'll be annoying to play against, but not broken. Annoying in a fun way, I mean. Challenging, perhaps is the better word for it.

Nothing innately overpowered. I like the idea, personally. I wish Niambi could join in on the fun though D:

Giving creature spells flash can lead to all sorts of unique gameplay.

Here, you would fill your hand up on your turn, then dump it on your opponent's end steps and other difficult to interact with times.

It sounds interesting.

Thanks for the input! Doing a bit more research. Would probably fill the deck with stuff like Young Pyromancer and Murmuring Mystic like effects.

Oh, and Chasm Skulker seems like a total powerhouse. Oh man!

Chasm Skulker seems straight-up filthy.

Also, Bident of Thassa, Coastal Piracy, and Professional Face-Breaker :0

The only thing I can think of is Teferi's interaction with Possibility Storm locking opponents out of their hands, but mono blue decks also have that with Knowledge Pool.

I love Vorthos decks though, and would 100% be willing to play against it!

Yeah. It's not like you're building cEDH, so there's nothing inherently wrong with building this deck to bring to a table, so long as everyone agrees to playing against a rule 0 deck :D

Let us know when you finish!! I'd love to see it.

Brewing and research have been put on indefinite hold, unfortunately. The threat of hurricane Ian to my area of central Florida is pretty severe, so it may be a while, if ever, this deck idea gets fleshed out.

If anyone else would like to build it, please do! It'll give me something to look forward to for when my power eventually comes back on (after it will go out tomorrow/Thursday). Whenever that may be.

Alrighty! I'll definitely look into building it ^^

Thankfully, the effects of the storm were not as extreme as other areas to my south. We still have power and now that the debris is cleaned up, we're pretty much back to normal.

Once things calm down some, I'll take another look at building this one!
