Big Mana, but in an actual interesting way. No more of that namby-pamby, Omnath, Locus of Mana/Regal Behemoth/Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma nonsense. Might as well hit me with a wet noodle. No, I'm talking Derevi, Empyrial Tactician Elfball Flash Enablers Big Boi Destruction Time™ . Let's break it down. You've got your Elfball base, with the rote one-mana nerds, and some more spicy meatballs, like Priest of Titania or Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy. Then, the standard non-stax Derevi package. I'm talking Unblockable Slimy Bois for the untaps, Willbreaker for all the creatures, and the best untap triggers money can buy. Skyshroud Poacher is broken, and can tutor up whatever you want, Azor's Gateway Flip for all the mana, etc. And then, the super-spicy meatballs. Yes, this means the flash enablers. With Derevi's broken untap ability, if you have a flash enabler, you can untap something like Faeburrow Elder 4 times, have twelve mana, and be able to cast twelve mana worth of stuff, because you can use your mana during your combat step, that means if you get 6 untap triggers, with a Wirewood Channeler tapping for 8 mana, you can cast 48 mana worth of stuff. No longer are Elesh Norns and Avacyns of the world are no longer confined to the oblivion of Turns 7 and 8, you can cast them on turn Three! Trust me, no one will see this coming. DESTRUCTION

maybe Chevill, Bane of Monsters as a spellslinger i'm sure you'll have plenty of removal to trigger him
and you could keep Umori, the Collector in the Companion zone

Ramble: I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work as Chevil already is part of the deck, so having the rest be Instant/Sorcery wouldn't suffice for Umori's company.

i could be wrong but im pretty sure Umori, the Collector doesn't look at the commander since hes in zone and not part of the starting deck
if it does look at the commander the companion ability is useless as it could only be creatures
the rest of the deck would have to be sorcery
even though instants have the best responses, sorcery's have the win cons

Ramble: Your commander is part of your starting deck. All of the cards in there have to fulfill the companion rule. That means, that Umori can (at least for now) only give company to decks that are all creature, artifact or enchantment. This might changes once we get MDFC commanders that are creatures and spells (propably in Strixhaven...).

ya you are correct
"You may have one companion in the Commander variant. Your deck, including your commander, must meet its companion requirement. Your companion is not one of your one hundred cards."
Since the card's companion ability is rendered pretty useless i would totally take the potential 1 extra card per turn from Chevill, Bane of Monsters over the potential -1 cost reduction from Umori, the Collector
and at least now you will be able to use both instant responses and sorcery win con's making it a much better deck

I'm just curious I do hope this is ok to post here but is everyone dropping uro? What I mean by that is are there very many players playing him anymore? I honestly play him differently than most I'd like to say my deck consists of 40%-60% of cards that arnt even posted mine is more for casual play maybe around a high 7 in power level honestly one of my favorite ways to win is with an army of flying whales and sharks.i wonder how many more people are actually passionate about this deck is all?or what people's favorite way to win with him?

A deck dedicated to killing everyone including the one playing it at the same time such as dumping a million mana into cards like Molten Disaster. The general is Saskia the Unyielding and the chosen player is always yourself as you swing a supermassive boardstate at everyone at once.
