Looking for a spot for a Demonic Tutor

I recently opened a JP alt art Demonic Tutor . I'm really excited about the pull, as the art and flavor of the card are enthralling. That being said, I don't have a black deck. I really want to make a deck that can really use the demonic tutor, so maybe a build that relies on several combo pieces or synergies? Any suggestions would be appreciated

Please understand that I don’t mean this in a snarky way at all, it just speaks to the power level of the card:
1) add black to any deck
2) add Demonic Tutor to said deck

You’re now successfully using one of the most powerful cards in EDH!

As others have said, any deck that runs black can make great use of it. That being said, I have had great luck with it in Oloro, Ageless Ascetic , Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons , and Tayam, Luminous Enigma . All three are combo decks with various lines of play. I wait to draw into half of a combo and then tutor the other half.

How about going mono black and building K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth . I’ve heard he’s pretty good!

Yeah, Demonic is just an auto-include. If you have it or are willing to purchase it, chuck it into every black deck you have. That said . . .

Mairsil, the Pretender , Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools plus Kodama of the East Tree , Korvold, Fae-Cursed King , and Kenrith, the Returned King are the black decks I own. Maybe one of those tickles your fancy.

Yup, as others have said, in a 100 card singleton format, tutors help just about every deck. If Black is one of your colours, the only reason not to include Demonic Tutor is because you want a detuned deck to enjoy the more social aspects and enjoy the randomness that comes with a 100 card singleton format that doesn't use tutors.

I have two black decks. My Shadowborn Apostle deck runs Tutor. My Marchesa Theft deck doesn't.
