Is Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon the best aggro edh deck possible?

So I watched the command zone episode about a week ago, where they talk about aggro and put the scary infect stragity to shame. But they may have forgot how good the color black is and how good Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon is.

Then I saw that there is two Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon decks in the tapped out top spot @ #1 and #2. Then I got to thinking. Could Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon be the best edh aggro deck?

Ok I know there's other good ones like Purphoros, God of the Forge and Xenagos, God of Revels you name it whatever. But black has tutors and black has card draw and black has ramp and black has Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon as a legend.

There's also strong aggro cards in black with Dark Ritual , Bubbling Muck , Hatred , Howl from Beyond and many more cards in black for fast damage.

Ok so what would be some cards a mono black aggro deck would have with Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon as the Cmdr. If you rather not say what cards would be good in that deck, you could tell me why he would be a bad aggro deck, and why other ones are better.

Aggre or disagree, I want to know what you think. I need ideas and info, so please reference cards here (with brackets) alot.

Najeela is hands down the best aggro commander. Why? Because it is not built as an aggro deck, but plays aggro due to najeela. If you look at the edh tier list najeela is the only aggro commander in tier 1. It is 5 color control that beats you down and out tempos. Edric is probably second best imo.

Tymna the Weaver and Tana, the Bloodsower are also a strong aggro deck, specifically when run as blood pod (which is a Stax build).

Skittles isn't a bad commander, however he's more Voltron than aggro. And while he's a strong infect card, there aren't many others in mono black. So that means that while he only has to do 10 damage per player, if you do say 8 infect damage and then get starved out of being able to play him, it's much harder for the rest of your deck to follow up on the work done. Not to mention he is very telegraphing of your strategy.

But if you were going to play him, cheap equipment (like Cranial Plating or Runechanter's Pike ) would be the go.

Speaking of non-blue colors, Saskia the Unyielding literally says "double the damage your creatures do" so, she is the best aggro commander out there for me.

Stuff that would give him unblockable like Prowler's Helm , Whispersilk Cloak , and Key to the City I would imagine are good. Then you just need stuff to give him more power and double strike like Blackblade Reforged , Loxodon Warhammer . I think best bet is that it turns into a pseudo Voltron style deck with a lot of black removal/draw spells packed in there.

No. Definently no. Najeela is better at actual combat damage based Aggro, but for competitive Viability, Edric turns, Blood Pod with Tymna and Tana, and if aggro-combo (super fast combo) is allowed, then Tymna/Thrasios builds as well as Urza decks can crush Skittles.

Honestly Skittles is pretty trash in comparison to most of the cEDH aggro metagame, despite how small it is, so no.

Ok so the title is bad. But as for a mono black cmdr. You could in a causal meta one shot someone out of no where. Have skittles as a "kill that player button". Because a whole deck devoted to killing everyone at the table to infect with using pretty much just skittle will take several turns. A deck with skittles at the helm should be built without skittles in mind. A mono black deck with multiple strategic ways of winning. Or one strong concentrated way of winning. Or a strong deck with powerful cards. With 5 to 10 cards that makes skittles a one shot trick for that one opponent who needs one more turn to win. Like a oh shit button. I can see a cool deck there but like everyone else I totally agree. Max power of a skittles deck probably lays somewhere between 7.5 and 8 if 10 is the strongest. If anyone is interested in helping me build this deck just hit the like button on this comment and I'll send you a tag in the comments of the deck I'm building.

As far as voltron/combat aggro commanders? outside of the cEDH conventions...which are so restrictive? I still stand by Sram, Senior Edificer with a suite of stax/resource denial. I usually beat out Rafiq & the other higher CMC voltron commanders, have no difficulty recasting commander, bounce back from MLD easily, consistent white/colorless card draw, don't have the same issues as some of the voltrony commanders d/t resource denial or protection always in hand.

Outside of a competitive environment, I always like Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief for mono black. She has natural evasion (flying), inbuilt damage buff and the ability to clear a path. You do have to build her as a big mana deck, however it menas that you can rely on stuff like Exsanguinate as a backup win condition easily then.

what about combining Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon with Lashwrithe ? That would make him considerably scarier - or combine him with cards like Bitterblossom + Contamination ? I think that'd make him plenty scary.
