Hello everyone, I would like to build a budget casual Sakashima the Impostor edh deck. I've never played against a pure clone themed deck so i wonder if they actually "work" in their own way or if they are just a gimmick and most of the times you just wait forever for something worth coping. Of course i'm talking in casual/fun environment. I would like to hear your own experience about them if you own/faced one of those decks.

i have a friend that plays a "what ever you can do i can do better" deck that is built around copying/stealing spells and creatures
it is a really fun deck to play & play against
i mean its hard not to laugh when he takes someones win con away and uses it against them (Stop Hitting Your Self)
the competitive level of the deck is based on what its playing against and also heavily dependent on skill / knowledge of the game
clones them self can be powerful as long as you provide a good source to replicate

Clone decks are fun because you can never really be too far away from your opponents on a power-level perspective. After all, you're playing the same cards they are!

I have a Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis clone tribal (Clone Love) deck and its probably my favorite deck to play. Part of how it works is the group hug aspect. Basically you help everyone play their decks then you copy the best stuff. You can help combo decks go off, but your other opponents are just as incentivized to stop them as you are. Politics play a big role in the game plan because you will never be the first person with a big threat. This deck has led to some of the funnest games I've had in commander and everyone usually sees their decks do their things. But I also end up winning a surprisingly often with it. I think you can probably apply some of the same principles in a mono-blue Sakashima deck.
