I want to get in on EDH, but there's a catch! I only want to include cards with the "new" borders, such as those belonging to Kor Spiritdancer , and NOT like Alpha Kavu , tarmagoyf, or anything but the borders that cards are printed with today!
(Don't ask why. Just go along with it...)
I know this is an incredibly vague and open-ended question, but where's a good place for one to begin with EDH?
I plan on buying at least one of the Commander decks when they release soon, so I'll have rules and a good jumping-off point. I'm obsessed with wedge-color combinations, namely RUG and WRB.
The preconstructed commander decks are basically your solution, get one(or more) see what you like/dislike and what you think is good/bad, and expand and edit from there.

Uril, the Miststalker is a build I am currently working on. Many good enchantments are fairly recent, and even though you won't get all the best enchantments from MTG history, you can still get a good number.
You may also have good luck with Memnarch , since a lot of Memnarch builds pull from the 6 Mirrodin sets and the Esper shard of the Alara sets.

Like omgyoav said, the precons are your solution.
Wedge is notoriously underrepresented (IIRC Vorosh was the only BUG one till the precons) , and the commanders in the precons (and the planechase dragons) will be the best wedge color commanders.
RUG packs Riku and Animar, two really excellent commanders to build around.
WRB, Kaalia and Tariel are also solid, Tariel's effect is sorta iffy (Oops, phage), but Kaalia's is a great one to build off of (hey look, it's Demon of Death's Gate).

Am I the only one thinking that Mimeoplasm is pretty damn powerful? It doesn't specify who's graveyard.. Hell.. You can copy something with persist O.O

Alara had really good tri colored playsets. Also some great tri colored legendary creatures. anything you put red and white in can have Ajani Vengeant , or put red and black in one to have Sarkhan the Mad . That gives you dual colored plainswalkers and you can shove mono colored plainswalkers in too.
