The card forsaken waste has jumped because of the spoiling of valgavoth.

I don't see the combo, I've been reading both cards over and over again for the past 20 minutes trying to figure it out. What am I missing? Is it so ridiculously obvious that its slapping me in the face And I just don't know? LOL thank you

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot,I don't know where to put this on this site lol.

there are 2 valgavoths, are you looking at the correct one? (that being Valgavoth, Harrower of Soulsfoil)

(also tagging Forsaken Wastes for card reference)

It doesn't seem like a "combo" to me, but rather just great synergy..

Valgavoth, Harrower of Soulsfoil gets a +1/+1 counter and draws you a card the first time an opponent loses life during their turn, and Forsaken Wastes (2nd/middle ability) basically guarantees Valgavoth triggers at the beginning of each of your opponents' turns, everytime.

Also, being able to shutdown lifegain (1st ability) is nothing to sneeze at, and it even comes with a "rattlesnake"-effect (3rd ability).

With your commander out, Forsaken Wastes is three Phyrexian Arena's rolled into the price of one. That's enough to raise a price, even though it might not be a "combo" per se.

It's also a reserved list card, any main stream attention will put a strain on supply, and monetary speculation usually goes through the roof.
