Use lots of unblockable creatures and top deck manipulation as well as enchantments that make all your creatures ninjas.

I have a theoretical list and primer here Yuriko Hidden Tiger.

Arcane Adaptation, Conspiracy, and Xenograft are really good for her.

check out my deck Ninjitsu, it's definitely one of my favorites and most fun to play i love it, lets you wipe out multiple players at once

A very high density of flyers and unblockable creatures but keep the creature quality high. Like 1 drops that actually do something on etb or possibly counter things.

Add lots of fast mana to get out in front quickly and use a lot of cheap/ free counter spells to protect your board. Misdirection and Foil and force of negation are good cards bc the card disadvantage doesn’t hurt since your board will draw you more cards.

Finish the game with top deck manipulation like insidious will/ doomsday or Sensei’s Divining top and scroll rack using extra turn spells like nexus of Fate or temporal trespass. My version is closer to the competitive side but consider yuriko as a card draw engine FIRST (like Edric) and THEN mid/ late game use her second effect as a possible win condition with burn. But you might want to have other win cons built in as well like isochron scepter/ dramatic reversal with something.

Currently building a Yuriko list myself. Depends on whether you want to go Ninja tribal, or more competitive. If you’re going to build a tribal/semi-tribal deck, just keep in mind a few things.

For starters, your unblock-able and evasive creatures eventually become better ninjas with a conspiracy effect, then the actual ninjitsu ninjas. So I wouldn’t run ALL of the ninjas, unless you really want to. I run like 9, and that is considered a high amount for the deck. Modern Horizons has added decent additions to the tribe. If it weren’t for that, I might run even less.

Conspiracy effects and top-deck manipulation are extremely important. A lot of lists have Xenograft but I actually think in a lot of cases, Standardize and Unnatural Selection are better. At the very least, don’t sleep on those, even if you include xenograft.

Far as top deck manipulation, this deck really wants Scroll Rack . It’s expensive, but it’s too good to not have. There are more reasonable cards like Crystal Ball and Future Sight you can use. Insidious Dreams can help you win on the spot, if enough ninjas get through. Make sure you have four or five cards, with a total CMC of 40+ in the deck, so when you use this card, you just murder everyone.

Lastly, this deck doesn’t too much care what other players are doing, so you can keep just a basic removal package. If you have counter-magic, generally you wanna only use it, to protect yourself when you’re going for the win. Or if you know an opponent is absolutely going to win right then, and there, Yuriko comes out of nowhere so you don’t really need to control the rest of the board.

If you end up running Doomsday you prob need a decent tutor package too. She will generate a lot of hate, once your pod is familiar with her, so protection will probably be important, but I haven’t figured out the best options for the deck, yet.

^^^Fully agree on the conspiracy effects and pretty much everything else TeLaSoul said. I find that in a more competitive list using free to cast spells are better for multiple reasons. Even though the curve is very very low the deck is very mana intensive and if you don’t want to get blown out without losing tempo you really wanna consider Force of Will, Foil, Misdirection, Force of Negation and Force of Despair as interaction and removal options. The card disadvantage doesn’t hurt you as bad and those cards have a higher cmc so they hurt more when you flip them over. That’s my answer to protecting my board. You’re so low to the ground you’re less likely to be outraced so you can be light on removal and focus your efforts on preventing board wipes and overwhelmingly oppressive stacks/ pillow fort peices like no mercy. There are also many changelings at 1 and 2 cmc that can apply here, some of which can actually tap or tap other creatures to give flying or change creature types. Also haste is your friend. Lightning greaves, Swiftfoot boots and nether traitor Force your opponents to hold up mana.

Split cards CMC is the combined total of both sides so Commit / Memory has a cmc of 10 and for yurikos ability, just something worth looking into.

Discovery / Dispersal is a particularly good one as its cmc is 8 and it is top of deck manipulation for 2
