Khârn deck help

I have a Khârn the Betrayer edh deck and was look for take out goad in the deck. I run equipment and theft in the deck. What would compliment the game plan outside of goad? I want to make him strong for when it comes down to 1v1.

I obviously have no idea how exactly your deck looks. But I imagine you would have some damage multipliers such as Fiery Emancipation. So maybe try some Fling effects for the 1v1 phase of the game?

I would LOAD the deck with nothing but combat tricks and equipment. The equipment specifically because those stay under YOUR control, so you get whatever benefits they provide (card draw/lifegain/etc). Something like Bronze Cudgels gives you a little bit of a dial to control how fast things get out of control. Captain's Hook gives you something of an emergency killswitch. Champion's Helm keeps other people’s grimy paws off of him. Dream-Thief's Bandana could even open your deck up to all sorts of other shenanigans. I’d start with equipment. 100%.

I suggest Infiltration Lens. So I imagine that whomever gets your cmdr will be swinging it at you. So you block it and draw 2 from the equipment. So you might want Maze of Ith in the deck to protect your ass. Maybe add Strionic Resonator to double up on card draw trigger to draw 4 cards.

Bazaar Trader + Homeward Path is draw 2 every turn cycle with Khârn the Betrayer

Addendum, with Bazaar Trader you can target yourself. So if you use a threaten effect like Mob Rule you can permanently steal a creature from your opponent just by targeting yourself with the Bazaar Trader
